From what I remember he created our best chance, didn't lose possession and looked a threat without having the explosiveness of his Everton performance. It wasn't an outstanding appearance from the lad, but it was about the same level as Sessegnon's best games for your lot (quality in glimpses, consistently tidy but ultimately lacked influence). Now, the Everton game, has Sessegnon even put in half an eye catching performance as that? Where he single handedly destroyed a defensively solid side and the national media were raving about the lad? He raised more eyebrows in 85 minutes than Sessegnon has in 5 months, that should tell you all you need to know about next season. It wasn't a bad game at all at Stoke. Showed some neat touches and movement in the first half, put in a few quality balls but there was no one about to get onto them. Wearsider was caught shagging his sister so the judge sentenced him to a 5 year Sunderland season ticket, having to hand himself into police before every game so they can escort him to each game. Let's hope Ben Arfa can justify it. Just accept it wearside that we will always be bigger than you, and will always have the potential to be a top club if managed correctly. Ben Arfa came to us billed as a temperamental talent who was on the fringes of Marseille's first XI who at the time had just won the league. He played, displayed that talent then broke his leg through no fault of his own. Sessengnon came to Sunderland similarly on the fringes having stagnated at PSG after a few good years. He's played a dozen or so games and looked a tidy midfielder contributing with a couple of goals. Both have 'done well' for their teams so far, but comparing them is like chalk and cheese. It would therefore appear that he is a right dirty little so and so - hopefully he likes the physical side of the game which would make him more likely to adapt to and bea success in the premier league.
