Tiresias
Certainly hadn't seen evidence of any midfield players playing any better in the premier league this week, hell xavi and barca had a bad game so maybe would make a euro 11 for the week lol
Guest sicko2ndbest
This was probably mentioned but wasn't it French week at the training ground this week? Coincidence? Senegal week Cisse bangs em in French week Cabaye bangs them in Tbf it could be Venus week and Cisse wouldn't be any different

Guest mimifrench
Here are the first 2 parts of a report on him for L'équipe (French newspaper), called "One day with... Yohann Cabaye". On the first video, it's his house and then second part is with other players, he was allowed to make the journalists visit the training "rooms"... http://video.lequipe.fr/video/football/un-jour-avec-yohan-cabaye-1-5/recentes/page/1/?sig=d32f723cb5ds http://video.lequipe.fr/video/football/un-jour-avec-yohan-cabaye-2-5/recentes/page/1/?sig=7ab9d0090c4s It's in French, so if you want/need little translations, you can ask. The College Dropout
There has been no stage this season where Cabaye has been 's***' compared to Guthrie. There's been times where Guthrie has matched and sometimes outshone Cabaye's ability on the ball in games, but that's it. It's as if people are just completely ignoring the vast difference in both players when it comes to ground covered, pressing, positional play, tackling, tactical awareness etc etc. I'm not taking anything away from Guthrie who's had a bit of a breakthrough season in his career but it's just ridiculous hyperbole. Agreed. Guthrie better in a 4-4-2? GTFOH!!! He hasn't got the legs for it against other good midfielders.
Jagten
First part : Cabaye's English was poor so he's started to take English lessons till December. He fits easily in the group now thanks to Demba Ba who helped him a lot , Ben Arfa and Obertan helped him too but not as much as Ba did. In England players get a lot of resting time given by their manager and Cabaye can't adapt to it so he trains himself at home. NUFC was a risked choice because they didn't play in Europe but he had to move to prove to anyone that he can succeed in England and show to Blanc and all the journalist that he can be an key player in a better league. Jagten
Part 2 : Car driving: In France the driving rules are not the same, so at first he was lost, he was just following the cars in front of him, now he can drive safely but if he goes back to France he might have an accident so he's warning us to stay at home . Rio Mavuba asked what NUFC have done to him to enable him to score headers because he scored recently with his head, Mavuba who's small like Cabaye wants the tip. Unbelievable
Day 3: http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Un-jour-avec-yohan-cabaye-3-5/280988 In the Premiership he is most impressed with Drogba (he's happy not to be a defender) and Stevy G. It gives him a real thrill to play with such players he used to admire on the telly, but out on the pitch he forgets who they are and gives his all. He has learned to become a "tougher" player over here, and sometimes even have a mean strike, mainly because of the refereeing in England where much fewer fouls are given than in France. You can tell the fouls get to him. It's the reason he lashed out at that Brighton bruiser. He's gotten away with a few himself though.
