Dinho lad
Good contribution in the past 3 games. Same with Obertan.
Gaz
For Pardew to have had Marveaux behind Jonas etc all season long is an absolute disgrace
thenige
Great attacking player. Doesn't track his man for shit though.
toondra
it sounds like ben arfa last season.... obertan, jonas, williamson, simpson, tiote ( always though he was overrated).... Pardew does't have a clue of who is a good football player.
Ste
Was possibly a case of just not rushing him back from his injury too soon and giving him the correct amount of time to put himself right.
Cajun
Was possibly a case of just not rushing him back from his injury too soon and giving him the correct amount of time to put himself right. Is probably the right answer, Pardew has form for this and Ben Arfa even praised his treatment. Marveaux does look amazing though, imagine him in a side that could defend. No that's being silly. Guest bimpy474
Shows how good a player he is.....Pardew finally takes note.

Revolution
Incredible technique. Jonas had better not walk back in and replace him or Obertan for Everton.
BONTEMPI
If Ba stays and we only go for 1-2 players, Centre Half & Right Back then up top i'd play. Tiote Bigi Ben Arfa Cabaye Marv Ba/Cisse
Barnes23
Class performance . Can't be dropped now, surely..
toontownman
If Ba stays and we only go for 1-2 players, Centre Half & Right Back then up top i'd play. Tiote Bigi Ben Arfa Cabaye Marv Ba/Cisse Replace Bigi/Tiote with Anita and we are looking better. No coincidence our play has looked better with him in the side. Obertan too, to a lesser extent! Pity that along with Bigi they will be the first three names to make way when Anita and Guti, Ben Arfa are back. Cabaye Anita Ben Arfa Marv Remy Ba/Cisse
Ronaldo
Looks like our best midfielder based on the last 2 games.
BONTEMPI
Looks like our best midfielder based on the last 2 games. Each fan can tell if a player has something about them, and we all knew he only needed a few games to show his quality. And yet our plank of a manager decides to stick by Jonas who has never shown any ability going forwards to worry a defense.
JH
He'll look mint sat on the bench when Jonas gets back.

Heron
Superb today. Will be a big player for us for the next half of the season.
Guest sicko2ndbest
He'll look mint sat on the bench when Jonas gets back. That's not as daft as it sounds....Jonas does offer more defensive protection Marveux = more attacking threat/ less defensive cover Jonas opposite Ps... Can we name this thread Sylvain Marvel

Guest sicko2ndbest
Jonas is f***ing useless man. Agreed in a way However, Jonas does offer more defensive cover, you can't deny that
toontownman
Marveaux is in exactly the same position as Hatem last year. He needs to add more effort into his defensive side and helping the rest of the team out. Complete quality if/when he does. We have seen glimpses of his improved workrate already (first half against Manure) Jonas desperately needs a spell out of the team to: a) re-charge his year long empty batteries. b) re-assess and hopefully reinvent himself. c) let kid Marvel keep his earnt place. I honestly think Marveaux should stick in the center behind the striker, with Obertan out wide left. He looked cracking out there in Europe and proved it again today. mozy
The central free role seems by far his best position, small sample size admittedly.
