#nufc statement:

'We wholly condemn the behaviour of a number of our supporters who invaded the pitch during the friendly vs Darlington...

'#nufc will be seeking to obtain footage of the disorder and will be taking the strongest possible action against those responsible...

'This behaviour isn't typical of the vast majority of fans, (but) this incident gives a poor impression of #nufc and its loyal supporters.'

Good stuff.

Grounds these days are littered with CCTV. Wont be difficult to pinpoint most of the muppets who ran on the pitch.

The initial invasion was a bit of a laugh and relatively harmless, however that shit quickly gets old. I wanted to watch a game of football, not see a bunch of shirtless 17 year olds pissed on white lightening giving it the big'un.

The fighting was just fucking stupid. I can't decide whether it was a few of our lot bickering amongst themselves or whether the kids who were struggling with the stewards and then received a kicking from our Stone Island brigade were from the Darlo end. Those around me seemed to think it was the latter.

Of course it wasn't harmless, look what it caused.

Exactly. Think of how early they'd all have gotten home without that 10 minute delay.

and then the fighting, the steward incident and the fallout that is no doubt heading our way...

Seems about right from what I've read, some Darlo fans got a kick and sent packing to their own end. Having watched videos of the invasion I can't help but feel a few people are over reacting. Part of the parcel with football imo.

Dont be daft man.

Disagree. Slapped wrist at most. The two clubs will identify the minute group of troublemakers and hand out respective bans. Then we'll all forget about it.

Pitch invasions aren't part of football? For me they are. Like I said, just my own opinion.
