Aruna Koné, Levante's top goalscorer with 17, has a clause written in his loan contract that forces him to go back to Sevilla if he scores 18 goals. He doesn't want to go back there, and Levante don't want to lose him. However, there are still 4 games to play and Levante is 3 points away from a CL spot. Interesting conundrum.

What a strange clause

My wording was off... he finishes contract with Sevilla this season and has agreed to sign with Levante. However, if he scored 18 goals, an automatic extension would kick in. He doesn't want to go back there, but Sevilla would love to use his excellent season to get a good fee for him.

He's been "injured" the past few games.

The bank that was supposed to finance the deal is on the verge of collapse.

s*** luck all over, really.

Ouch.

To be frank, I don't think there's a single bank in Valencia that hasn't collapsed or is in the verge of doing it (real state crash has been *massive* there), I don't think they had much chance of choosing well

Hope they can pull through, however, there's already talk of another round of star-player selling (Alba to us, Soldado to PSG)

And after writing this, the bank was nationalized yesterday

No word yet if this will scupper the deal the bank had with Valencia for the sale of Mestalla and the refinancing on their debt. But the fact that the club has remained silent after the inquiries of some minor shareholders is a bit worrying.

Incidentally, the same bank is the one that loaned RM the money for Cronaldo.

Have Madrid paid back any of their debts yet?

What the fuck is this at the Bernabeu?

You'd think it was the first time they've won La Liga EVER.

4 years is a long time for Real Madrid.

What's the beef between them two?

in 2010, Mallorca qualified for the EL through the league. Villarreal put up a complaint in front of UEFA, since Mallorca owed some transfer monies to Bilbao, and prevented them from being certified for European competition. The slot, of course, went to Villarreal instead.

Ah aye I remember now. That was when Mallorca missed out on 4th to a last minute Sevilla goal.

Aye, from CL to nothing. You can imagine the grief for Mallorca fans.
