Dave
Seriously though, Butt holding properly turns Emre into a different player. *Doffs hat to HTL* EDIT - Aww, you deleted Melan!

Yorkie
I just can't see why Parker can't sit deep, where i think he's much better. Butt's position and allow Emre top boss the midfield - which he is so good at.

Syrette
Glenn needs to mould Parker into more of a Butt-type player - I believe Parker is the better player, he just needs to be told to sit deeper a bit more to let Emre have more of a free reign ahead of him. EDIT - Aww, you deleted Melan! Well, for all I know he might read the board - I didn't want to look stupid.
Nate
Good news for the team if he's out for a few weeks, and that's only due to Roeder's inability to drop him.
Baggio
Glenn needs to mould Parker into more of a Butt-type player Or sell him and buy someone like Diop, who is far better and wouldn't cost as much.
Syrette
Good news for the team Yes, you're so right. I forget how in depth our squad is. So many fit and uninjured players, I'm sure we won't miss him.
Zero
I know it's insane to have this feeling, but with both Parker and Duff out for a few weeks, I got a feeling that we can bounce back to the mid-table at least.
Syrette
Diop, who is far better Is he? Not suggesting he's a bad player, he most certainly is not. But to be honest he hasn't impressed me as much recently as he did a season or two ago.
Dave
Is Parker undroppable as club captain?
Tachikoma
Parker has the talent to be a very good all-round midfielder imo - passes accurately enough, knows how to time his runs into the box and definitely can defend, but he really has to sort out the bad habits he picked up at Chelsea. Its up to him now to decide which type of player he really wants to be.

Syrette
Is Parker undroppable as club captain? Pretty much. But to be fair I think he fulfills his captaincy role well, it's just his positioning in relation to his midfield partners that is causing problems. Yorkie
He should be fine, just he and Emre need to swap roles. Emre's far superior going forward and Parker's far superior holding the midfield. It's commno sense really.
M4
If Duff also wants to take a break that's fine. ... and Shola of course
Syrette
If Duff also wants to take a break that's fine. ... and Shola of course Why on earth do people say these things? Do you understand how thin and injury-prone our squad is? Clearly not, since you actually wish injury on players. Getting rid of them won't help anything, managing them properly would. Guest sittingontheball
He nearly scored today with that cheeky shot that might have been a cross. His pirouttes definitely don't help on the attack, but our pace only really came to the fore today when they started committing more bodies forward. In that situation, Parker was definitely noticeable by his absence. Harry Redknapp seemed to open it up a bit second half and that let us in. Against a stacked two banks of four in an even game, I'm not sure it would matter whether it was Butt or Parker. Neither has the ability to really make things happen on a regular basis. Parker does a lot of great last ditch stuff and also chips in with the odd goal. If you want to point the finger, Zoggy did nothing first half too. Great second half though and nice "assist", for those who like American terminology.
