alpal78
It's almost as if signing injury prone players because they're cheaper might leave you with more injury prone players. One of those weird coincidences. how many injury prone players have we signed?

alpal78
Is he injury prone, or is it just bad luck? probably the latter, with some history of injury (duh like all football players), but won't stop the usual suspect coming out with completely baseless theories that we only signed him because he was cheap due to his injury. Never knew an injury prone player could play 20-30 games a season!
chicago_shearer
Is it that the players who are exciting/good get injured more often, or that we generally have lots of injuries but I don't notice when Alan Smith or Lovenkrands are injured? Conjo
Smith/Løvenkrands gives the ball to his opponents, while opponents have to take the ball away from Santon/Ben Arfa. Who are most in danger of getting injured?
oldtype
Alan Smith has a pretty impressive injury record. Plus, even if he was injured right now, would you notice?
toontownman
Would be relatively happy with four weeks, thought it would be much worse.. still might be, but early signs look good. As a couple have mentioned, Ferguson or Kadar need to be given a chance against Forest. Four more weeks of Raylor would be horrible. Sure he is out of position and maybe he will start getting his head around it over the next couple of weeks, but he is still clumsy, slow and shite bar his set pieces once in a while. Rebellious
Any player we look forward to seeing in the Black and White always gets injured first or 2 games in. Its the NUFC law. All the crying about the striker over the summer, if we had signed one he would have got injured aswell.
ToonTastic
Is he injury prone, or is it just bad luck? probably the latter, with some history of injury (duh like all football players), but won't stop the usual suspect coming out with completely baseless theories that we only signed him because he was cheap due to his injury. Never knew an injury prone player could play 20-30 games a season! Surely being so young and already getting cartilage injuries doesn't bode well for a future without injury problems. Seems reading about other professional players of all types of sport (mainly Americans) although the operation is deemed a success, they struggle to come back without problems early on and it takes a very long lay off with high amounts of rehabilitation to make a full recovery from the injury. If Santon is still suffering since 2009 with this injury it may be he needs this full rehabilitation to be able to progress else we may be stuck with an injury prone player. Guest BooBoo
The club's getting exactly what it deserves for the folly of having only one specialist left back on the books.
Parky
He had the inj initially in 2009 and was out for 2 months, it flared up again in 2010 and this will be his third knee surgery. His career is moving smoothly into permacrock territory.
