Ronaldo
There's usually no target in the first place, let alone a 'someone else' mate.
Mole_Toonfan
Gomis is not especially quick. More about his strength and off the ball movement. I never said he was especially quick, more that his pace won't be an issue.... he can move quite well for a big guy and isn't slow at all. Can move at more than a decent pace once he gets going. I was referring to a comparison with Bent, but anyway yeah it is more about his movement.
BillClinton
There's usually no target in the first place, let alone a 'someone else' mate. That's what makes it even more annoying. Having to talk ourselves into this guy when we should have plenty of other targets out there.

Pilko
Would take him if we got Gomis and Remy, on a 1 or 2 yr deal. Better than Shola.
Dokko
I'd rather have Shola tbh.
Guest bimpy474
Remy - Cisse - Benny would be class. Yeah. I don't really see where Gomis fits in if Cisse stays. 4-4-2.

toontownman
Carlton Cole is better than Shola. Aids or cancer argument like. You know the reality is we would get both at the same time.

Tiote Cabaye I personally don't think we have enough out and out wingers for a flat 442, but there is a lot of options with our squad and Remy + Gomis. Ronaldo
People still wistfully looking at sides that include Tiote? I don't get it.
Guest bimpy474
Having enough out and out wingers is not going to bother Pardew, it'll be Jonas (why oh why) left and Ben Arfa right. Hope we go 4-3-3 myself.
Guest bimpy474
People still wistfully looking at sides that include Tiote? I don't get it. Neither does Pardew Ron, he plays him every game if he's fit. Can't see it changing while either are still here.
Dokko
People still wistfully looking at sides that include Tiote? I don't get it. Two reasons. 1: I still think the player that first came here is still there if he's dropped deep enough, he can do that in a 3 man mid rather than a flat two with him and Cabaye. 2: Pardew will want him in there for the tackles, fit and not suspended he's playing every game. If you want take Tiote out and you've still got loads of options, you just can't rely on Marv or hba to be regular picks with their injury and fitness records. Still have goof to throw in. Basically I'd be fucking excited with Remy & Gomis plus our lot as long as we don't see a flat 442.
TaylorJ_01
Tiote has just been trying/having to do too much and being woefully exposed. Against Pacos there was a glimpse of his old self when he was breaking everything up and playing it simple. He's not a good footballer but can certainly be an important one if used correctly. Then Pardew.
Ronaldo
Against Pacos he almost cost us two goals, and had time on the ball and still managed to be shite on it. In the PL he doesn't have that.
Pilko
He was at his usual blundering, unreliable best against Pacos. Can't pass, can't tackle, can't retain the ball. He's hopeless.
