To answer your question, my support is not dependent on what players we field. I do however question how much time I spend watching, reading and writing about this team when I have to withstand a player of his non-existant class for 12 years. The remark was of course to illustrate how bad I want to see anyone but him on the pitch. I want Newcastle to do well and I see nothing wrong in that.
