Was stupid but it help crank up the atmosphere in the 2nd half
AlanSkÃrare
"Papiss has not seen the replays yet. It will hinder his sleep when he does. Last three to four games he has had more chances than all season because Sissoko is opening up gaps for him. He is a natural finisher and got into good positions and was unlucky not to score." This is true. Papiss playing of Sissoko has opened up our play so much more. The problem last night was a lack of movement off the ball from the rest of the front four. Obertan was decent at it in the first half but faded quickly in the second. In my opinion, this is also a reason for Anita to be playing ahead of Tioté when we need to unlock the opposition. His movement drags people out of position, and his approach remings me a little of Sissoko's in the sense that he passes and always looks to move. But Sissoko playing off Cissé, it looks a vast improvement on what we've seen this season. Especially with Gouffran's movement from the left and Hatem slaughtering people from the right. Can't wait to see all of them.
Lush Vlad
Cisse getting stick on twitter seems a bit harsh to me. Scored two goals, unlucky with one and should have scored the one on one and header. If it finished 2-0, with him getting both (which it obviously should have) then the tone would be different. It would have been 5 genuine chances for him, 2 goals, 1 decent effort on his weaker foot, 2 chances he should have scored. Not really that bad for a striker is it? People go on like he's massively different to last season. He's playing pretty much the same IMO, with one BIG difference. He's not scoring the outrageous ones. All this, 'he scored with every shot' is bollocks. He'd often miss easy chances and sitters, then score an outrageous goal. Which would often mask the constant offsides and chances that he missed. Norwich was the perfect example of this and his debut against Villa to a point. I am pleased he's getting the chances now at least, as he barely got a look in with Ba at times. We're creating more as a team and the system suits him. He's an instinctive finisher, that always seems rushed and inconsistent when he has time. Nothing has changed in that regard. Hughesy
I don't think he could have done much more with the header really. He had to generate all the power himself (think Shearer's goal vs Germany in the Euros) and he put it in the right place.

AyeDubbleYoo
That offside situation happens so often, with a midfielder taking advantage of a badly-organised back line. Such a class run, and so annoying that it gets ruled out.
Lush Vlad
His reaction to when his goals are disallowed are hilarious Yep. You'd think with his track record, he'd always check for a flag before celebrating. He's going mad for about 10-20 seconds after each goal. Then realises it's been ruled out, then kicks off. Crazy fucker.

buzza
feel sorry for the team when it actually "clicks" for him, he's going to score a hatful... He is getting into the positions, his offside runs are decreasing, back to the good old cisse soon!!!

He is getting into the positions, his offside runs are decreasing, back to the good old cisse soon!!! It's never been Cisse's fault that this season he has been found in offside positions, Sissoko now has the vision to the run much earlier than anyone else in the squad, everyone had been making the pass to Cisse far too late. He's making the exact same runs as before except now the ball is being passed to him much earlier when he is still onside.
Hanshithispantz
There's been times where he's literally just been standing offside like, but having better passers in the side will help.

I would agree but thats mostly at set pieces, he's as bad as Shola for that.
The College Dropout
Laughable. He often starts offside let's be honest. He often clearly isn't looking across the line to even attempt being onside. C'mon.

Then you clearly haven't watched the beginning of his runs. Yes once he moves into an offside position he is slow at getting back but he is usually onside when he starts his original runs. mrmojorisin75
i'd tend to agree with stifler in the main, once our players get used to the idea of being able to pass a football properly again and things like releasing the ball early we might get a lot more out of papiss

Yes once he moves into an offside position he is slow at getting back but he is usually onside when he starts his original runs. It's a two way thing, totally. He scored at least 2 offside goals last season too. The common denominator in him being offside, is himself. The second goal he scored against Metallist, he was fractions offside. Mbiwa crossed the ball fully on the run. It was Cisse's fault. It tends to be his fault.
