Guest BooBoo
All that bling bling TupTup shite was epitomised by Oba and I for one am delighted that mentality seems to have been driven out of the club.

Unbelievable
Scored some quality goals did Obafemi but he was a right lazy t*** and he has a football brain that makes Daniel Sturridge look like Dennis Bergkamp. Indeed - the exact type of player you can't carry in a relegation battle. Up there with Duff and Geremi, just behind Owen in the arsehole stakes. This the same Obafemi Martins whose goals kept us up the season before?

Unbelievable
Sorry, meant 2006-7 4 from January onwards Scored 17 goals for us that season, 11 in the league, more than double anybody else in our squad. We'd have gone done without him that season (unless we'd have brought in another striker of similar ability) regardless of when he scored the goals that kept us up. You are free to argue anything you want. Fact remains his goals kept us up that season and at the time he was one of our most liked players. His stock may have fallen since then, but let's not rewrite history.
Tiresias
blizzard mag having a Q&A @blzzrd: #blzzrdqt - Question from floor - Can Martin O'Neill make same impact at Sunderland as Wenger at Arsenal? Johnathan Wilson with some sense responds @blzzrd: #blzzrdqt @jonawils "I'm worried" Sunderland's good run last season coincided with high % long range goals. But his overall record is superb
midds
When he wasn't scoring screamers he was absolutely atrocious like The screamers are the memorable bits though and they form the majority of the memories for some people about his time here. The mis-placed passes, the needless dribbles, the shots landing in the upper tier, being caught in possession umpteen times, running into blind alleys, taking important pens with his wrong foot, lack of intelligent movements all blend into the bigger, less remarkable, picture. Terrible footballer.

Even when running up, he looked like he was going to miss. you know when some players run up and you get the feeling they haven't decided which way to put it (nowt wrong in that, i was our penalty taker and didn't make my mind up till starting my run up), but with oba i always got the feeling that, on his run up he still hadn't decided what foot he was going to take it with. Sifu
I really liked Martins. Didn't have a footballing brain as such but I would say that his career here was a decent one (2008/09 season aside). Certainly did more than that cunt Owen.
