He's significantly better than what they've got, so a good signing for them if true.

I agree, if he can stay fit. But he will probably be injured after 10mins in his first game.

Guess you could see it that way. It only says something about the players already there though. Such an uninspiring signing.

Hes only going to score them 5-8 goals which isn't enough if hes going to be their main striker.

They need two, so I think they'll be trying for Saha and Fletcher. Unfortunately, that might be enough to keep them up.

Still think those tipping the macums for mid table mediocrity are being pretty generous.

With the exception of the normal post managerial change phase, which included an amazing amount of luck, they spent most of last season looking like real relegation material.

If anything they've got worse and I'm not convinced that Artie is completely happy there, which will transmit through to the players.

Snap them up now for relegation - when you can still get tens or better - is my tip.

Saha will be a decent signing. Always scores past us.

The games against us must be the only ones he's fit for then. As for Sunderland, he's just coming to put his feet up and get well paid while recovering from his inevitable bout of injuries.

Didn't Wearside's very own Jonathan Wilson write an article during the Artie inspired dead cat bounce that said statistically they were worse off in every respect under MoN compared to Claire Balding's reign apart from scoring from a distance, which he basically attributed to luck?

Yup.

But Saha has played for Man Yoo so he's better than Cisse and Ba who've never played CL.

Did Saha get a CL winners medal? Maybe it can be part of the back 4 with O'shea's and Brown's.

Edit: Never mind. He did! 3 CL medals in their squad. Green as fuck me marra...

They've been editing his wikipedia it seems...

Sunderland AFC

On the 15 of August 2012, Louis Saha flew to Wearside for talks and a medical over a potential transfer to Sunderland. The former magpie jumped at the chance to work with Martin O'Neil and believed he could be the answer to Sunderlands transfer problems. He is set to make his first apperance for the club in Sunderlands first game away to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium
