Official: Daniel Sturridge is injured

Recommended Posts

He's choosing to work with Pardew and Carver guys. If he goes there I can pretty much guarantee he'll either get injured or he'll end up playing on the wing.

These guys already have Rondon and Rodriguez who has looked really good recently.

Pardew is always going to end up falling back on a 6 ft 4 upfront in Rondon, and the others getting shunted out wide and pissed off.

Sturridge must be mental.

Of course he is. Just look at his goal celebration.

Guys, just pray we get Kelechi. It will be a huge blessing in disguise.

He is less prone to injuries and is far more tactically astute, and will follow Rafa's instructions, which is a big deal to Rafa as we know.

Sturridge is far more of a maverick on the field and starts roaming all over. I am actually surprised we have seemingly gone for him ahead of Kelechi, but it was probably down to feeling he had more experience.

Kelechi would be a far better option IMO. Hope we look at that very quickly. Thankfully he doesn't seem to be linked to other clubs at the minute.

It makes sense, doesn't it? But we know it won't happen.

You're the last of a dying breed my man, the absolute last.

We're signing nothing.

Family reasons. f*** off with that s*** man.

Some guys go for the comfortable option. You have to question his attitude and commitment.

It's been clear for a while Klopp hasn't been happy with him. He's been playing Dominic Solanke ahead of the guy for goodness sake! And before him Origi was ahead of Sturridge.

Something isn't right there at all. Think he just wants to play when he feels like, and do what he wants when he's out on the pitch.

He is up for a rude awakening under Pardew. Lonely afternoons at the top end of the pitch, with your team mates far off in the distance all defending.

Aye that lad who never plays for Leicester and only really did anything for City as an impact sub when the opposition was tired. He's overrated as hell and certainly not a better option than Sturridge.

Sounds like how we play. Apart from we don't have anyone have a lonely afternoon at the top of the pitch, they're inside our half helping to defend against the likes of Swansea and Brighton.

He's choosing to go home for 6 months. It's hardly him permanently signing for Pardew over Rafa.

Can see the logic in this. He's got the choice between two awful teams but one of them means he can be with his family. It makes sense. It does also feel that much worse for us given another moral busting transfer window.

I wonder if we'll even attempt to look at Jorgensen again?

We'll offer £12m for him at 18:15hrs.

how is Rafa still here, f***ing hell man  :undecided:

He's a stoic professional doing his job. Not sure I'd want him kicking and screaming and hoying toys out the pram tbh.

you'd forgive him doing it though

Why question the attitude of players when it's player after player after player that chooses to go elsewhere at the very moment that the reins are handed over to Charnley. Don't be so ridiculous.
