Village Idiot
The exact date is usually announced just a few weeks before the fact. but it's usually always around the end of July, might be earlier this year due to the World Cup.

Guest Craig-NUFC
Spain's government plans to push for a new law that will give the Spanish football league control over the collective sale of television rights in a move to improve club finances, collect outstanding taxes, and increase competitiveness. Miguel Cardenal, president of Spain's Sports Council, said on Thursday that he wants to present the new law by the end of this year to give the league more power over the individual clubs. "The centralization (of TV rights) would let the public administrations be the first to get paid," he said. "Thirty-five percent of revenues from TV rights won't be passed on to the clubs that can't show they are up to date on their payments." Cardenal also said the government's new plan for sustainability has set a target of reducing the debt of Spain's football leagues from 4 billion euros ($5.2 billion) to 3 million euros ($3.9 million) by 2016. In order to achieve this goal, Cardenal said the government's plan called for clubs to slash their collective budget for the season from 750 million euros ($975 million) to 650 million euros ($845 million). However, Cardenal acknowledged that the push to balance club finances would lead to more top players being sold to foreign leagues and to the widening of the competition gap between Barcelona and Madrid and all the rest. "We have become an exporting country," Cardenal said. "It's a historic change and Spanish football has to recognize it."
Village Idiot
This has been rumored for a while, but I'd surprised if it takes effect in the next 5 years. The figures in the article look very off though, La Liga's collective budgets are way higher than 750m, only Barça and Madrid together are already 800+
Village Idiot
Depor have 15 days to exit administration or be liquidated.

Village Idiot
Racing-Hércules game from last season's Liga Adelante was fixed for betting purposes (there was nothing in play), according to La Liga's president. Police has been investigating the match since suspicions arose.

LRD
Tata Martino to Barca looks likely then.. Thoughts, VI? Can't say I know a great deal about him... Is there any development on the Martino front? Latest is Hiddink has resigned from Anzhi and it's a rather convenient time to do so.

Disco
Turned Newell's from one of the worst teams (they won 1 game in 19 before he joined) in Argentina to the best and playing good attacking passing yet direct football. Did a fine job with an organised yet overall defensive Paraguay team too, he still reverted to similar tactics quite a lot in the cups for Newell's - arguably his downfall in the Copa Libertadores this season. Massive risk though but he has Messi as an ally so that's a good start. And given how mental Newell's fans are he might find life a bit saner in Barcelona. Mole_Toonfan
I'm reading he's leaned a lot on Bielsa methods but isn't half as nuts, is that fair?

Disco
Just read this article, very informative for those who don't know about him like i certainly didn't. http://ilikefootballme.wordpress.com/2012/11/27/like-a-lepra-messiah/ Good read that. Why dont they just get Bielsa? Or is he already taken? Don't think he did himself any favours last season otherwise he probably would've had a chance. Unless he's gone somewhere since leaving Athletic I think he is still without a job. Might end up going back to Newell's. --- On a total side note the Clásico Rosarino is argued to have the best atmosphere in Argentine football and it's back next season Be no away fans either so hostile as you like.
