Nice to see Deportivo back in la Primera, used to love their team back in the day with Diego Tristan, Djalminha, Fran, Makaay, Duscher et al. Will be keeping an eye out for them, someone with greater knowledge care to predict how they will fare?

Duscher. Remember when Big Sam had him on trial, didn't give a deal because he wasn't fit, then he went on to have a blinder for Sevilla (I think it was).

We plodded along with Butt, Geremi, Smith & Barton in that role instead. :yao:

I must be blind, but I still don't see this "3 at the back" formation we're supposedly going to play. Yesterday we played with Alba-Piqué-Bartra-Montoya at the back for the majority of the game.

At a wild guess but maybe it's something he has in mind for when the likes of Messi, Suarez and Neymar are available?

Peter Lim as finalised the purchase of Valencia, after reaching an agreement with the club's main creditor (a Spanish bank).

Yay. New stadium might finally be back on track.

Shame they had to downscale their plans.

Desperately need the extra income from it if they even want to start challenging Barca and Madrid again.

By the way, a Spanish court has ordered La Liga to re-admit Real Murcia in Liga Adelante, after they had been relegated due to non-compliance with our FFP rules.

Well, La Liga has said that he's "unable to comply" since the league starts this weekend, and has refused to admit Murcia back. This will end in court...
