Jack Flash
Good to see him getting 56 minutes in a friendly tonight. With any luck he'll build on that by playing 10 minutes in March or something. On a more serious note, he'll be 19 in January and he's barely touched the ball for us despite us being desperate for strikers in the last 10 months. "I think the one who is really knocking on the door is Adam Campbell, and I would like to think he will be in and around the first team next year"

Yorkie
There is a fair chance, of course, that he's not actually good enough to be 'in and around the first team' this year. The fact that he hasn't been out on loan is a separate matter but I wouldn't have him anywhere near our starting line-up.

St Mirren have tried to loan him 3 times. Other than their manager talking openly about the press we don't really know what's going on and why that hasn't come to fruition. They way you were going on before you could have thought were turning all and sundry down for him just so he can stay here as back-up. “Adam Campbell, Bigirimana and Haris (Vuckic), they need to go out on loan but we haven’t had the takers yet.” AP, yesterday. Geordie Ahmed
We don't use the loan system very well, admittedly there has been some improvement compared to previous years BUT it is still not good enough The likes of Sammy, Ferguson, Inman etc should have been sent out a lot earlier and now the same is happening to Campbell, before long he will be 20 and will have next to no decent experience
Jack Flash
No takers anywhere for them but apparently this squad is too good to be improved upon.

The College Dropout
Gael played well for a Championship side (that got relegated aye) but i'm sure he could start for some decent league 2 sides.

League 2? He should be aiming way higher than that. Would be a complete waste of time for him. It's better than the reserves or sitting on the bench at Birmingham. AlanSkÃrare
Is JFK in charge of all transfer related matters? Would explain why there are no takers.
Beezeri
We should get a feeder club in the Central Europe. Maybe Holland or Belgium...It's a big step for younger players to spend a season abroad on a loan deal. It would mature them a lot for sure. Belgium would be a good standard for our club and their youth development seems be top class. Chelsea have a good working system with Vitesse Sound a bit weird that no clubs are interested of England youth team players? I'd say League 2 is too low level for our reserves but no doubt it would be better anyway than playing at youth competitions or sitting on 1st teams bench... Guest Haris Vuckic
Manchester United used to do it with Royal Antwerp - who are now managed by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
binnsy
We are doing a great job of wrecking his career before its really started, he's gone backwards in the last 12-18 months due to lack of football.

I'm confused here, are we talking about Bigi or Campbell. Campbell Could/should go to league 2, Bigi definitely no lower than Championship at all I actually meant League 1 in my first post. Even still - competitive professional football is better than playing for the reserves.
BillClinton
Not saying that this is the case with Campbell, but a lot of these guys probably think the lower leagues are beneath them and aren't willing to drop down to league two. It's funny because a lot of the youngsters we've released can't even manage to play in League one or two. Where are Ryan Donaldson or Phil Airey or Aaron Spear playing now? I'm sure the club should be blamed for refusing to loan people out (seems like they've learned the lesson now) but the players must have some blame in it. Don't think it's worth while myself League 1 or reserves? It's a no-brainer. Jermain Defoe went to a side in League 1 when he was 18/19. Was obviously too good for that division, scored better than 1 in 2 but he came back with his stock super high. I also believe Caulker spent a season in League 1, then Championship then a PL loan. It's important to play man. Bigi was only starting in a team that got relegated anyway. One of Macheda's problems is that he's been loaned to teams that are a bit too big for him. Now at Donny before his injuries, he's showed he's a class act.
