Elliottman
Get rid asap. Sick of him and those f***ing owners. Who replaces him champ? Martinez, Laudrup, Jol, Hughton, a foreign coach who plays good football. Maybe even try for Moyes if you promise him some money to spend (daft suggestion i know). Bullshit. Pretty much the whole of that post is bullshit. I dont even know if I should bother picking it apart.

Zero
Is it coincidence looking better going forward has coincided with looking terrible at the back? You have to have top quality defenders to sustain an open style attacking football. If you play a rigit direct style, you can cover the lack of defending talents by having more teammates around you. They are not coincidence.
Mistle17
I can't fault him for today apart from his Bigirimana substitution. I think we could have been more positive after each equaliser.
Yorkie
Which ever decision was the killer; the irritating constant over the last two games is that he's done absolutely nothing to protect a seriously failing defense. Whether it's a bad sub or bad formation, he's begged the opposition to come at us in the last twenty minutes at both Old Trafford and the Emirates. He's not entirely to blame but he shouldn't be remotely surprised that we've conceded 11 goals. Our attacking play has improved immeasurably, however, so i take solace in that. Careful now sweetheart, we dont want you getting banned. Ok, Hughton? Do you really need me to explain? Martinez? Will go on to better things and we wouldnt pay the compo Wigan would demand. Laurdup - has a good thing at Swansea, maybe the most realistic of your daft suggestions.
Superior Acuña
Does Pardew get any praise for the first 70 or 85 mins? Or was that a fluke and then the end was down to him? The tactics and performances last few games have been very good. Needs results quickly now though. I agree. But since the obvious change in play since Wigan we've won the games you'd expect us to and come closer to points in games you'd expect us to lose than you'd expect, with the possible exception of Fulham (where you'd maybe hope for a draw). That for me earns a run of games against teams other than Arsenal, ManU, ManC. If we're still losing everything after that (say late in January), then it's time to worry. Dyeyzzon
We've been laughing at Sunderland and Steve f***ing Bruce, yet we've somehow managed to create the closest replica of that hellhole. F*** this club.
Guest malandro
Is it coincidence looking better going forward has coincided with looking terrible at the back? Before that we looked toothless in attack but ok defensively. Need a balance between the 2. Tricky problem for AP, going from a rigid not committing many men forward direct approach, to a tippy tappy around the back pass and 'move' style. Decky
Do people think we should keep a bad manager because there are few replacements out there? Pardew has won twice in 11 league games, what position will we be in if this run of form continues until the end of the season? We cannot let this team go down again. Guest
Genuine question. Do people really think if we play the same way we have done the last 5-6 games over the course of the next 19 games, we'll only average a point a game like we have? Tachikoma
If Pardew was going to go it would have been off the back of our defeats against Swansea et al, not Arsenal and Manure. Would be nice if we could get a new manager who has a decent track record but realistically its not going to happen.

Do you genuinely believe that Ashley and Llambias are capable of sourcing a significant improvement on Pardew? I don't.

steve_69
I'm more confident about our ability to win games after the last couple of performances. Yes we shipped a bucketload of goals today but we actually dominated possession in the first half and looked dangerous. I can't see many teams outside the top 6 being able to live with us if we keep playing like that. Still hanging on to my last thread of optimism
