£3.5m or something. Arrived around the same time as Julio Arca and don't think he every played in the Premier League.

1999–2001 Argentinos Juniors 48 (1)

2001–2004 Sunderland AFC 0 (0)

2003–2004 → CD Leganés (loan) 32 (0)

2004–2005 Real Murcia 20 (2)

2005 Rosario Central 3 (0)

2006 Gimnasia de La Plata 0 (0)

2006 →Nueva Chicago (loan) 1 (0)

2007 →Talleres de Córdoba (loan) 9 (1)

2007–2008 Gimnasia de La Plata 7 (0)

2009 O'Higgins 23 (0)

2010 Tiro Federal 7 (0)

2011 C.F. La Piedad 2 (0)

2012 El Porvenir 12 (0)

Bizarrely, he was actually capped by Argentina in a World Cup Qualifier in 2004 while on Sunderland's books when out on loan to a lower league Spanish team.

There's not enough Aussie in this thread, so give it up for: Kevin Muscat!

http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j430/sddm76/926192-kevin-muscat_zps7623fcd2.jpg

Sure, he played a lot of his football in the nineties, but some one the people in this thread were playing in the eighties for Christ's sake! Besides, he was described as the most hated man in football in 2000...

Some call him a hard man, most call him a cowardly, scumbag piece of shit. After butchering players in England and Scotland he maintained the rage in Australia before being hounded into retirement after committing the "worst tackle in history" (see above pic). If you're bored and in need of... something, check his wiki and read the section "Reputation".

Found this piece amusing: "It was speculated that Muscat’s temperament was the reason he was never selected for inclusion in an Old Firm derby during his time at Rangers"

German international striker and Championship Manager legend (at least on CM97/98) Fredi Bobic.  Had a brief spell on loan at Bolton in 2002 from Borussia Dortmund, and according to Wikipedia (I know, could well be bullshit!) he scored their last hattrick in a competitive game when he bagged 3 in a 4-1 defeat of Ipswich.
