BrettNUFC
Lost 12 games since the turn of the year. Since November last year we've lost 21 games. Sack the living s*** out of him. this, is there honestly still anyone on here who doesn't believe he deserves the sack based purely on his performance over the last year? i know brett is one but is there anyone else? would love to see a poll like I can think of 3 who? inochi, ian w, brett? i don't think ian w and inochi would keep the fella like they just seem to revel in being contrary (might be wrong)....someone else is a bit pro-pards, happy face? By the way his performances from last season do deserve the sack just for the record, but i've just always maintained i wouldn't trust Ashley to hire someone to make me happy if he was ditched. Onnce decision was made to keep him, i decided to give him another season and another chance. So actually i do think in general Pardew's performances from last season should have earned him the sack under normal circumstances, but this club hasn’t got normal circumstances Talk about a contradiction of a post. If you are happy with a bloke you think should have been sacked , what difference does it make who is appointed? Because there's a difference, if i was a Spurs fan i'd have wanted Harry Redknapp sacked and AVB brought in, however i wouldn't have wanted Redknapp sacked if they weren't looking to upgrade. In our case we wouldn't be looking to upgrade, it would be someone like/deffo JFK, so i'd rather stick? I think you would be hard pressed to find a manager worse than Pardew tbh . I've actually named our next manager in my post if Pardew gets fired so i wouldn't say i'm hard pressed.
Guest bimpy474
I was wondering how bad we actually have to be for him to get sacked. I reckon the only thing that'll get Pardew the sack is if / when he stops toeing the party line. Could be that yeah, Ashley has him because he trust him to an extent, he toes the party line in other words.
TRon
Never has an opinion been so hard to understand. Gimp, write this down: I'd happily see Pardew replaced by a better manager. Unfortunately, that's simply not going to happen. So, we're stuck with him. I take issue with extreme negativity, so I comment on it, where I see fit, in a condescending, elitist manner. Of course it's going to happen. Probably not as soon as we would like, but his sheer incompetence means it's inevitable. We might not get a better manager you say? It would be pretty hard to avoid it IMO. really? what manager better than Pardew will agree to work under JFK as DOF (and thats best case scenario) where he has no say whatsoever in the signing of players, where players will be sold underneath him and not replaced. Where we only bloody shop in the french league. You could hire someone from the lower leagues who looks like he can put together a team that knocks it about quite well. That would be an immediate improvement.
mrmojorisin75
What Ashley bullshit? He signed up for this, this is his job, that he agreed to! Yep, he's part of the Ashley bullshit not just a victim of it. let's look at the bullshit as well; in effect what he was asked to do was work under difficult circumstances (for arguably the first time here) between august and january at which point he was handed half a new team in that 6 months he folded, in every single way imagineable as a manager then when he was handed half a new team and had people coming back from injury he compounded his fail to the point that we more or less relied on bosingwa to keep us up let's not make out like he was given a bunch of kids to play last season, he just needed to be a good manager and none of it would have happened, but as it is he's a fucking terrible manager who is so rigid in every way he can only succeed when everything is right for him

Rather get behind him and give him my backing and hope he manages to turn things around again, which i do genuinely believe he could do. Why do you think he can turn it around? There's nothing in his history that says he can? For the same reason people hope there's a heaven, it'd be nice. FWIW I'm an atheist. Guest bimpy474
Fwiw i dont ever remember us playing this badly making so few chances because of it (the two combined). We've had some terrible teams but at least threatened to score, Big Sam had us playing some shocking football but we did make chances. But under Pardew play badly and create next to nothing which is a big worry.

BrettNUFC
I don't understand where people think this upgrade on Pardew will come from when it comes to Ashley appointments. He shit all over Keegan and brought in JFK, he tried to salvage his near death with Shearer then shit all over him for Hughton, he then shit all over Hughton and brought in Pardew, probably a matter of time before he starts shitting again and JFK returns. His appointments have been woeful and generally downgraded.

mrmojorisin75
I don't understand where people think this upgrade on Pardew will come from doesn't necessarily need to be an upgrade, don't you see, all it needs to be is someone who understands the basics of passing football and that playing technical players in a non-technical system is doomed to fail because generally players who like the ball at their feet are not the ones who like to stand in rigid formation and fear the opposition

Ronaldo
He certainly isn't worse. I would guarantee you wouldn't see the cowardly tactics and performances that Pardew has been manufacturing. Incredible that you can be so sure Joe would be better. Not sure what the basis is for that conclusion. The point is, he's not likely to be worse. Replacing one dinosaur manager with another isn't really what's required, but at least we're a step further along the road. How will being a 'step further along the road', with all of the unrest that goes with it, help us to win football matches? If Kinnear is no worse, or better, than Pardew - what's the benefit? Because one more detestable cunt is out of the club?

Being one step further along the road to appointing a real manager. Read mrmorjorisn's post below yours for what is required.
