Just popped on to wish you good luck at the weekend, your fans are a very decent lot and do not deserve another relegation, hope you beat Wet Spam and then you can relax for the summer.

Tempted not to watch this at all, to be honest. Not sure I'll be able to stomach it.

I'm debating wether to travel down or not.  Someone make my mind up for me please.

If it's a tension thing go. I find being at the match much better than TV, radio etc for stress levels. If it's just apathy then don't really know.

If you do make it please don't let anyone boo Carroll or Nolan, we really need to be nice to them.

Yeah I prefer the "at match" stress to the stress of watching at home.

It's better to shout at the match, than looking like a nutter shouting at the TV/PC.

Positive thoughts lads!

I'm being as positive as I can, trust me. The nerves on Saturday will just be too much. Even in regular away games, I sit watching it with cold, sweaty palms.

I'm feeling more confident as the week goes on.  I think Saturday was a watershed moment, hopefully the management and players have all had a big argument about what is going on and no one is being stubborn enough to dig their heels in to their own way of thinking.

I'm starting to feel a bit better now as well, obviously still be bricking it come the game.

Although it's a nightmare for us to wait so long, a full week between fixtures now has to be ideal for the team. Sometimes you want your next game to come along immediately, but sometimes you need to get out of the firing line and regroup.

Just hope they are using this week to build a positive atmosphere and an attitude that they're fully ready for the task in hand. Some more training for Colo and HBA, can't be bad.

You can train all day every day - then Pardew sets the tactics.

Elliot

Simpson, Taylor, Colo, Mbiwa.

HBA, Cabaye, Sissoko, Marv (Jonas if not fit)

Cisse, Gouffran.

Straight old 4-4-2.

I'm starting to get optimistic for this. Am I crazy?

Just think that with 'clear the air' talks and the reaction to Saturday, we might get something. A siege mentality, perhaps. Pardew is a desperate man so he might finally adapt other tactical ideas as a last throw of the dice. Our defence will look much better with Colo back and if we play with a high line again, Carroll wont punish us like Sturridge did. I dunno....maybe I've lost the plot.

I go through the "will we be better because of xyz" phase all the time and generally we aren't so pessimism will remain with me until I see different :)
