Neil
Just seen. Massive thunder storm. Should be fun. If Colombia win, they qualify, non?
ponsaelius
Was desparate for Ecuador to slip out of the qualifying positions but kinda routing for them to make it now after Chucho's death.

ponsaelius
Was desparate for Ecuador to slip out of the qualifying positions but kinda routing for them to make it now after Chucho's death. Why? Well maybe not desperate, but they're the most dull of the teams up there and struggle massively away from altitude. Would be a poorer side to have at the World Cup than say Uruguay or Chile. Disco
After Bolivian teams, Cusco based Peruvian teams, Quito is next on the altitude doping hitlist of teams to back. Sewelly is spot on, they're alright but it's like watching two different teams home/away. At home they're frenzied and wing dominated, away from home it's poor counter attacking football. Plus Uruguay if they rediscover the magic and Chile (who are just generally good too watch) will be better draws in the WC, plus thousands more fans will go over. If Uruguay qualify and play any games in Porto Alegre it'll be like a home game.
