Beren
Has Gouff had a chance to play centrally as the main man? Would be interested to see it at some point. QPR didn't he? And scored funnily enough, we did go 4-4-2. Played off Cisse. Ah yes, the Jose Boswinga game.
Mole_Toonfan
Kick up the arse after 1 game away to City. f***ing Di Canio territory that you nutter! He's been playing like crap for ages tbh. With some service he'll get chances though. I would wait to see what happens in the next two games before taking a punt on Gouffran alone. We need all the goal scorers playing, we haven't got that many. This is the point though..... we are not creating for him so thus he's useless. We need a striker who can run in behind, drop deep link the play and not be pushed off the ball so easily. I.E. Someone who can contribute outside the box to make it easier for the team to create chances and Gouffran and Remy are both better at those things than Cisse is. Gallowgate Toon
We need as many goal threats on the pitch as possible, Cisse and Gouffran are our only true goal-getters, they both need to be on the pitch come Saturday.
Guest icemanblue
Kick up the arse after 1 game away to City. Fucking Di Canio territory that you nutter! Last season taken into account, if you go by the Man City game, a game you claim we couldn't ever win, or even compete in. Gouffran was far better than Cisse and at least showed some fight. And like it or not, fight and effort is something we need right now, then again the manager has to show the way there doesn't he. Hold on, hold on. We need fight and effort over technical ability now?! We need both and as i said the other day, i have no interest in your opinion. Class. I'll expect to see you agree with Pards, next time he starts Jonas over a more technical player with 'less fight'.

Well for now yes, but once Remy is fit and if we sign some more players i wouldn't be adverse to dropping Cisse at all.

Guest bimpy474
And dropping Cisse isn't a permanent thing, he's our best forward. But while he's so out of form he needs leaving out. Gouffran has was better. As soon as Cisse has picked up then you put him back in, hopefully when the team is playing better. The one thing Cisse suffers from more than most is the team playing badly. We are not creating because we don't have a left side basically. Jonas can't cross or shoot, and Santon cuts back inside so we get very little coming down the left. Even HBA on the right is more interested in dribbling rather than putting balls across the box for the striker.

AyeDubbleYoo
Can't see the problem with bimpy's post TBH. Although I would keep Cisse, mainly as we don't have better options, I could see an argument for resting him if we continue to fail to supply him with chances. For the next two games I would definitely keep him in though.

If Pardew isn't going to give him a partner or go with 3 up. I would play Gouffran as he looks better suited to it. More workrate and better link up play. just imo.
