Minhosa
Pleased they waited until our match. Will be interesting to see who they appoint. Where is Koeman now? Netherlands manager now. Ah didn't realise. Cheers .
Varadi
I think statistically managerial changes this late rarely do any good, but I guess they had to try.
Stifler
There seasons seems to have gone in a similar pattern to ours under McClaren. Will probably go for McClaren.
Minhosa
Eight games isn't much time. Need's to be a big impact from whoever gets it. Got be to a big character or great CV I'd say. Shame Prdew already taken.

Dave
Could go for this man; knows the club, proven track record of attacking football, finished 5th once and eminently available.
HaydnNUFC
Who was last manager to get sacked after playing us? We were Hughes' last league game.

joeyt
That Graham Potter played for Southampton, Stoke and West Brom and they could all have a managerial shake up in the next few months
Guest
Mark Hughes I reckon My first thought too. I think he'd get a reaction out of them.

morla84
Still a baffling decision sacking Puel, got a bit above themselves and didn't realise they were punching above their weight in 8th place
Mbemba Youre A Womble
Puel's sacking was more political/contractual than actual league performance. Have a few Southampton friends and whilst they always thought the football was boring as hell - especially at home - they we're happy enough with what he was doing there. Texted couple of them, neither want Hughes, Jokanovic from Fulham seems a decent shout

Aye that was my reaction. Wouldn't be worst of appointments, would rather him than Hughes if I was Saints fan. Bound to be offered better deal than what he's on at Fulham (even if they do go up), plus decent bonus if he keeps them up would be a draw.

Yeah - you'd deffo take him if you were a Saints fan but he'd be mad to risk it imho.

Sold a dream, given a lie :'( 8 games is enough time for anyone coming in to turn that around, and keep them up. As things stand their not even in bottom 3, no way cut adrift, and enough teams around there still for them to still be alive. Tough set of fixtures goes against them though, but any manager will back themselves to have an effect. We managed to draw Rafa at same time of the season
