Beren
Galtier's looks like the sort of face that could become very punchable very quickly. Given his form he'd probably punch back harder. Look at that jawline, it would take a pretty good punch to KO him I reckon. Which would be unfortunate if he's the type to punch back. Ronaldo could do him blindfolded Said he could take Shola

Skeletor
wonder where ashley would have heard of this fucker from if the rumour turns out true, maybe carr? Well we've been scouting all their players so why not their manager too?

Aye but not like Pardew's who face i want to attack with an axe. I was going to start a thread called "If I saw Pardew, I'd...", but I imagine I'd only ger variations of this response. Don't fancy the prison time/record so I'd spit in his face, and hope I got a reaction out of him

Then kick him in the bollocks, ave it.

mrmojorisin75
2 years after starting the 'buy french players' scam we come up with the bright idea of trying a french manager then? they'll probably sign him and give him colback, de jong and some other non-french tripe

Right now we have no flair whatsoever, chuck in Colback (who's ok imo), Snodgrass and the others they're looking at. Where's the flair, creativity, excitement. It's just dreadful that Pardew might get away with blaming the French players, get to bring in a load of British tat and we'd bet even more fucked than before. So frustrating that not everyone can see Pardew is fucking awful, no matter who you give him.

chicago_shearer
Anybody - ANYBODY - would be better then the current chump we have managing this team. I don't have a problem with a link to Galtier at all or a defensive notion to the game. A team can still defend well and counter-attack to win games. Done properly and it's not bad to watch at all.. NUFC_Chris
I don't believe any of this Galtier talk for a minute. The L'Equipe article didn't say anything about us approaching him. [emoji1] More Chronicle bullshit to sell papers.
Guest antz1uk
I wonder who is Graham Carr's boss? is it Irving or Charnely or Ashley. I'm trying to get an idea of who he must deal with when discussing stuff cos i don't see him actively wanting to converse with Pardew, they must have completely different outlooks

TRon
wonder where ashley would have heard of this fucker from if the rumour turns out true, maybe carr? Let's be honest, Ashley still probably hasn't heard of him. This is almost certainly just newspaper bollocks based on his agent touting him to premier league clubs. NUFC_Chris
You can guarantee this is news to the club, and you're right, Ashley won't have a sodding clue who he is.
TaylorJ_01
I doubt Ashley is picking the manager. I'd imagine Carr will have 60% of the input, hence France. Hoping for a no smoke without fire scenario.

AlanSkÃrare
The only honest thing he could do is offer his resignation as he's obviously not capable of taking the club forward in any capacity. He will however say that we need more "fret" and therefore have to go for English players in the summer. Ashley seems to rely heavily on Carr though, the entire model would falter if we didn't have him. Maybe he'll listen to Carr in terms of the manager as well. I still think this is another PR move from the club. Pardew acting as if he's not sure whether Mike will keep him on or not, and the club playing all secret about some monumental "end of season meeting". He's safe as f*** and knows it. He just has to appear as if he's not sure to give any credibility to his own sackability, i.e. his actual reasons for being in the role. He wasn't the best man for the job in the first place, there's no need for him to be that now.
healthyaddiction
Wouldn't be nice if he declared his leaving in the post-match interview. Deep down I know there will be a statement on Monday backing Pardew but I am going to try to live in hope and blind optimism until then.
