Dave
I'd be terrified about his replacement like, there's no getting away from it. Does this mean there's no need to criticise Pardew? Of course not.
BrettNUFC
Does this mean there's no need to criticise Pardew? Of course not. All managers are criticised, expect that. I just think there's no line with some on here. It's a bit full on. Like saying if we get beat of Sunderland again coming up, it's his fault. Getting the blame for the defeat when we are weeks away. They aren't saying if we win it will be down to him?

Of course not. I'm not too concerned about his replacement, the squad is strong enough to hover around mid-table no matter who is in charge IMO. The level of manager in the premier is pretty rank with only a handful of good ones. It wouldn't take much to get in an improvement if Ashley really wanted. He probably doesn't though. Hanshithispantz
He's made his bed and he can lie in it. If he starts Shola Ameobi against Sunderland and we lose then he'll rightfully be blamed for the defeat. If he picks a good XI and they still collectively play shit he'll be rightfully blamed etc. He was humiliated at home by a complete moron with one of the worst squads in the league purely because that moron was able to get them ready for the game, something he's never been able to do. Wallace
Can't see Ashley caring about the style of football so long as the results are OK. He rarely goes to the games these days.

A win at Arsenal and you were in his back pocket. Fair enough people do say and praise him when things are going well, i'll admit i went to extreme by saying only players get praisal. But it's the extreme lengths which things change, this board was looking at how many points off top we were before Arsenal, sure couple of posters bet on us winning the league, then things haven't quite worked out since Arsenal and suddenly there's been arguements this week if should be hauled in to the boardroom and fired by Ashley for his 3 straight losses and the football he serves up. Just think it's harsh. I won't stand for him getting the blame or the players for defeats when we haven't even kicked off yet. I said that before Man Utd when someone said we would get murdered, which i found harsh and i find this harsh too.

BrettNUFC
Using the fact people were throwing sneaky quids on us winning the league as ammo So you're saying you weren't having sneaky looks at the top of the league and working out if we beat Arsenal how closer we would be. That Arsenal game would have brought about so much belief had we nicked it, sadly they nicked it off us I was certainly dreaming at one point, thinking what if? When you're on a run you feel unbeatable, when you're on a losing streak, it feels like the world is against you. It's exciting and still feels exciting, 6 points off Champions League, couple of signings, why not dare to dream? Better than dreaming the manager to get sacked

Better than dreaming the manager to get sacked I think a month ago 500/1 or whatever it was were very good odds for us to win the league, I mean we play the league 500 times from that point and I think, even with Pardew in charge we string together a few results, other teams hit bad form, and come out on top The last sentence is awful craic Brett and you know it
BrettNUFC
Hard to believe anyone is quite this dim. Not one of these who just wants to give up and say the season is finished. Still very much in progress and with a couple of signings, there's more twists and turns left in us yet, hopefully from a positive aspect like and not dragged into a dog fight
