Guest palnese
Not a striker, not a #10 and certainly not a winger. Sell him and get a more effective player in. Reckon him and Mitro will be offloaded.
jimmymag
How the f*** is this guy getting a game? We carried him for the vast majority of the game again today. I can forgive a player for being out of form, but I can't forgive a player who's not working as hard as he can for the team. Gayle must have ran twice as far as Pérez today, always willing to close their back 4 and goalkeeper, and he was even dropping into midfield leaving the lazy t*** up front. Rafa's quoted as saying Pérez worked effectively between the lines, but that's not what I saw, or the majority of the crowd who were beginning to let him know about it during the last half hour. I think Rafa knows more than you mate. Yes, mate, without doubt. Thanks for your input.

The manager being a pro doesn't mean he's immune from all criticism, we're just fortunate that we have a manager where the only real criticism seems to be player selection. Perez has been awful for ages and doesn't seem to have improved at all, it's a totally fair criticism when there are players on the bench who have performed better or maybe haven't been given a chance. I have to admit that as much as I like Perez's natural ability, my patience with him has disappeared now, he needs to start performing at the level we know he's capable of, even just half of the time, otherwise his place in the team unjustified imo. U2
I think Rafa demands a lot of defensive effort from his AM which has a detrimental impact on Ayoze's attacking play. Same goes for Diame. Both are doing a lot in defence.
Guest firetotheworks
I think Diame's maybe been getting more stick than he deserves, once his finishing clicks he'll be brilliant for us at this level.
Figures 1-0 Football
I didn't think he was that bad today to be honest, a few neat touches and passes. I wouldn't say that he was great but I wouldn't say he was particularly bad either.

Both need to play off a front man as dres gale at a higher level.
Leazes_End_Mag
Awful, yet again.
huss9
he got more into it second half, and even managed a couple of decent efforts on goal.
Ikon
2 goals and an assist for Ayoze today! Hopefully a massive boost for the lad.

HawK
Who would have thought that playing the kid in his natural position he'd do better than stuck up front or out wide Way too patchy though, needs to find some consistency. Hopefully with this performance he's earnt his place for the next league game and he can carry on where he left off.
Ikon
He has mostly played as a #10 this season tbh. Good that he did better today, hopefully a big step in the right direction.
The College Dropout
He has mostly played as a #10 this season tbh. Good that he did better today, hopefully a big step in the right direction. Aye. He's played mostly as a 10 this season and been pap. He's been pap for a long time. It looks like he might be turning the corner now though. I'd like for him to go on a 5-6 game run where his touch is consistent, he's making the right choices and his effective in the final third. I was beginning to lose hope in the lad but this is could be a turning point.
AyeDubbleYoo
Pleased for him today... I didn't think he played brilliantly but you can't argue with two goals and an assist.
Shush
Didn't see the whole game to judge him properly, but his goals were Premier League class yesterday. Hope this is him on route to being back to his best.
Ikon
Despite having a quite poor season overall so far he's managed to score 5 goals i think. Thing is that we have looked a class above in most of the games so far, and the best part is that we will get better and better. We still have players that we can do even better than they have done so far. With Rafa it's safe to say that he will never be satisfied, always looking to improve every single detail. Fine tuning, more tuning, and again and again.. Lately you have been able to see how much we have improved from the beginning of the season. Players starting to gel, create a bond and an understanding between them, knowing who does what and when and why. Getting more and more well drilled and being aware of exactly what to do under the command of Rafa. Absolutely Love supporting this club and team right now, makes me so much more happy, outside of the football as well. Great stuff
shintonsghost
as i said much more on offer from him than Diame will ever give you as predicted and scorned at
Guest firetotheworks
He played well and it was about time, as he's been massively underperforming for 18 months and completely got away with it. Diame's played a handful of games and you've made your mind up on him already. That's your choice and I disagree, but who cares.
ponsaelius
Perez has 8 starts, 5 goals, 3 assists this season. Diame has 11 starts, 0 goals, 1 assist. If we're persisting with this #10 there's only one option out of the two who should be playing from now on.
Guest firetotheworks
Except that we know that Rafa rotates, so it'll be both of them.
Ikon
If Perez continues in this direction and performs at the level we know he can then he will make that position his own soon and then he won't be rotated as much.
