Flip
Still can't believe Brazil's answer to the footballing apocalypse is to bring back Dunga and Kaka Harsh on Dunga, his team isn't enjoyable at all (look today for this) but except a bad half against the Netherlands his team rarely failed in the four years he managed the team winning everything. Kaka on the other hand is just there because I think they're pressing the youngsters to shine, because he was only called up because of injury as a last minute thing. Flip
I'm desperate for Adriano to get a call up. He'd probably be able to get one if he lost 30kg. We really don't have a #9.

ponsaelius
Do Brazil not have some kid they could play instead of drafting in random Brazilian league jobbers approaching their 30s
Flip
That Tardelli has scored two and im still not convinced he's a footballer Not a number 9 in that sense either. Played really well today in terms of movements and everything. Oscar is the worst offensive player once again. Wonder when he'll show us the type of performance he had against Croatia again. Flip
Do Brazil not have some kid they could play instead of drafting in random Brazilian league jobbers approaching their 30s We do have some, but the u-21 are playing friendlies in preparation for the Olympics (where we'll fail again) so we're almost not calling any youngsters up. (they'll have to really impress there). Think Dunga calling the elders up is to show that unless you play at a really high level you won't get a chance. ponsaelius
I just don't get it. Surely the Germany game should have seen a sea change in Brazilian football. Not bringing back Dunga and his boring football, Kaka and Robinho back in the squad and literally no new youngsters.
Flip
I just don't get it. Surely the Germany game should have seen a sea change in Brazilian football. Not bringing back Dunga and his boring football, Kaka and Robinho back in the squad and literally no new youngsters. We all thought that Unfortunately, the football federation is corrupt from the absolute top to bottom meaning the man we brought in to make these super changes they promised is Gilmar Rinaldi who the last 10 years or so has been a player agent and who with his first appointment brought back his long-time friend Dunga to manage it. Dunga is an intelligent man though so I do expect him to make a good job. The style of play has already changed a bit, we don't have fixed positions up top so we have four players inter-changing all the time, and we haven't been bad under him winning all our three friendlies against SA opposition. It's not good on the eyes, but until we develop these players we can't be playing the most beautiful football either. Only Neymar is capable of that at the moment. ponsaelius
What an absolute waste of everyone's time this game is. You weren't saying that under Steve Staunton when you were scrapping it out with San Marino. Ireland are practically minnows as well, it'll be a waste of everybodys time when you play Germany.
