Stifler
Palace joining the tunnel club fad. There will be 1 or 2 palace fans with enough money to get tickets, but will there be a big demand? It just looks like only the 1 stand that will look good from the outside, you can even see in the background the other stand looking cheap and bland. Fair play to them for wanting to upgrade their stadium though. Will it still go ahead if they go down?

Sir Toon
Should have them at St James' if it ever gets another upgrade. The lot that play candy crush can sit there.
Rumpelstiltskin Solano
Great thread - love stadiums so much, went to the Pierre Mauroy last year in Lille for the Euros and it was class, beautiful stadium! The roof was closed for the match and the atmosphere was haunting!

mrmojorisin75
Spurs have said recently they may night need to play all early season games away next season. Wow, a major construction project running over time in this country. Colour me shocked. I'm sure it's on budget though.

The Chinese would've had it up in about three weeks though!
Altamullan
Should have commissioned those Aldi/Lidl type supermarket constructors: super quick! Oh, probs end up looking like Pride Park or Palladium of Shite, though... quick but ugly.

Stifler
whats the reason for the lower tier of those stands to be different in size and positioning? Looks like a f***ing Lego They slide in and out for different sports and concerts. That is what West Ham’s Olympic stadium was supposed to be like, instead they got scaffolding and temporary seating. henke
I'm guessing some of the seats are removable or retractable. For concerts etc. The Wikipedia page says they host motocross events too, so that's worth spending an extra couple of hundred million dollars. The stadium it replaced apparently had issues with the roof, but it hardly warranted spending £1.6billion on a flashy new gaff. In America it seems their stadiums have a lifespan of no more than a few decades, and with teams being franchises of a league they're holding cities to ransom. Build us a new stadium or we're offski.
