you know it’s bad when the fuckin carpet looks better than the kit

Looks like something from the 70s

The carpet not the kit

Kit would have been better blue with white trim and white Sela instead of orange.

Sela seem to be willing to change the colour of their logo to fit in with our shirts, sadly Noon are not as accommodating.

sela probably don’t have a set colour where as noon are known for being yellow.

Entering a competition soon with some Newcastle kit designs I've done.

Totally get that there'll be people who think this design is shite,  but just as a disclaimer, the idea with this one is to do something a bit out there and original.

My question to you is this, can you tell from looking at this what Newcastle-associated thing influenced the design/colour scheme (jokes aside). That's all I'm asking. Trying to work out whether it's obvious or I'm reaching a bit.

The badge, and much of the rest, is exactly like this

Just makes me think of Des Hamilton

I like this new one though, very smart.

I just don't understand using this kit as inspiration really. Reminds me of a shit period for the club and is a really dodgy design as well

The brown ale text on the originl one was orange, and differed for all of the aways back then.

they wouldn’t change the blue star to green or white or anything to suit an away top

I've been collecting shirts for over 40 years and have no idea what this is referencing.

It's never been referenced before basically. It's Newcastle (not the club) based though

Is the shirt to do with the art/architecture thing in the university?

You're on the right lines here, but not the Uni.

Hmm, maybe if it's not obvious straight away then it's back to the drawing board.
