I've never understood this or been given a valid reason for leaving them off, it seems barmy to me. Each to their own and all that but why wouldn't anyone have them on there if they eat them on normal Sunday roasts?

AyeDubbleYoo
Made triumphant Yorkshire puddings last year, destroying my Mam’s feeble record of using frozen ones. Merry fucking Christmas.
Groundhog63
The question isn't "why shouldn't you have Yorkshire puddings in a Christmas Dinner" BUT "why tf DON'T you have pigs in blankets in every Sunday dinner.

pedro111
As someone whose Sunday dinners as a kid consisted of mashed potato and 12 Yorkshire's you'd be kicked straight out of my house for saying no Yorkshire's on a Christmas dinner. The only thing better than Yorkshire puddings is Yorkshire puddings with onion thrown in the mix. Trust me you'll thank me for it later.
Shays Given Tim Flowers
I remember a local chip shop doing battered pigs in blankets. Could feel my heart ceasing to beat with each bite.
RodneyCisse
Anyone else excited for Christmas dinner now?
McCormick
Non-negotiables for an English Christmas dinner are: Turkey with stuffing (sage and onion preferably), gravy, cranberry sauce, roasties, Brussels sprouts and at least 1 other type of roast vegetable (carrots, parsnips etc.) Once you have that core, you can add whatever sides and additional meats and it’s still a Christmas dinner imo. Christmas dinner should be 2 potatoes - Mash and Roasties and a honey roasted parsnip and carrot medley.
AyeDubbleYoo
Personally think mash is going to fill you unnecessarily for such a low-pleasure food. Not worth it.
McCormick
Low-pleasure? You’ve obviously never had a really good buttery mash. I’ll put you on to some life-changing mashed potato; use a potato ricer, infuse some cream with rosemary, garlic and thyme and add that to your potatoes with an ungodly amount of butter, then add salt and white pepper. Heavenly stuff. Edited 3 hours ago by McCormick
loki679
Mixing the peas into the mash is the god tier move. Dice some chicken breast dead small and fry it and hoy that in too works a treat. Cheese the whole thing up, chuck it in a giant yorkie and you're laughing.

I know Castore get stick, but Puma where so much worse them them. Atleast from a design perspective. The kits always looked really cheap too.
