Nucasol
Could be a good excuse for the club to try and bin Castore off as well. However that shitehawk Ashley won’t have bothered putting quality or production SLAs in the agreement.
Yorkie
It's good to have an embroidered badge but it just looks altogether shoddy, regardless of they manufacturing mishap; the letters are wonky and placed oddly within the band. My two shirts from the 90s for comparison (notwithstanding forgivable fade after nearly 30 years of literal constant wear, day and night). I just think folks should expect better for their money but if most "don't care ah just wanted the top," then whatever. Lessens the incentive for improvement, though. NE27
I'd say castores crest looks absolutely fine minus the alignment and spacing of Newcastle United. Exists on the one I have from last season but I accepted that it's just the N being too close and giving it the look of T. Poor from castore tbf, if they couldn't get the stitching correct and signed off they should've kept the printed version like the pro kits.

They probably saw all the complaining about the patch crests on the Puma kits and tried to appease the fans, with a bit more kwality!

Well, that's exactly what they've done tbf to them. I'm all about a stitched crest and felt sponsors but not at the cost of them fucking the name up
Stifler
I saw a comparison from the Adidas era, and it was similar then.

AyeDubbleYoo
It's a really hard design for a minimum wage machine operator. Or are they embroidered by computer?

Why cant Castore even do those, then just do them on Fan and Pro kits?? Edited June 12, 2023 by TK-

Guess it's hardly unique to Castore.

Maybe the 'theme' is thinking that, for upwards of £90 for a shirt with all the trimmings, folks might get something that looks better than something you'd find in a basket at a Thai market. Kid Icarus
You haven't got any Castore gear though have you? They're way better quality than the other clubs kits like, it's not even close.

That's the feeling I got when I arrived at the shop at the weekend - the design is nice-looking and it's a decent shirt, but at the end of the day I was still standing in front of quite a poor-quality garment with a high price. I think only American sports gear gets close to the quality you would want, the baseball stuff is superb. But it is more expensive as well. I honestly don't think that changes the point though; it's a blummin rip-off and (if I'm going to be uber-cynical) exploitative, cos they know folks will pay through the nose for anything with the badge on, properly stitched or otherwise. But it is more expensive as well. $250 for my proper NFL jersey, foolishly purchased at the stadium before the game . They sell cheaper player/kids versions with slap on vinyl names rather than embroidered stuff, but they're still generally north of $100.

I'm not going to disagree about it being a rip off like, because it is. All I'm really saying is that we've got the thinner end of the wedge in the PL. Others are more expensive and imo lower quality
RS
£66 of that shirt cost must be clear profit. Quality is shite. Spelling fucked. Stitching to fuck. Alignment issues. It’s a shitshow Also, there’s no way I’d wear it for my hols at sunderland airport Edited June 12, 2023 by RS
