Probably the last time we have Sela as a main sponsor too.

I like it. I've always preferred more white than black on the kits anyway.

It would have looked class with the pink accents the new Juve kit has, but 99% would hate that.

I like it, but I don't understand the solid black stripe on the right sleeve,  Shouldn't that part be the lighter grey looking stripe? I think Adidas have done a good job on recent Juventus jerseys.  I con't care for our current home kit.

Not necessarily against the nod to the tartan but don’t at all see what the fading is about - why try to make it look washed out?

That's it. I've no beef with them doing something inventive with the stripes but what exactly is that supposed to be? It looks like the Breaking Bad intro with the smoke coming across from the right.

Dunno. It's okay, hopefully very unpolished. The template isn't visible so you'd expect so. Mismatched stripes are very weird.

If it’s got a plain back, it can get to fuck.

It will do. Just the way it is with Adidas.

Is it me or does that kit feel like the sort of kit an "elite" team would have? It's doesn't feel cheap and tacky like the kits we had under Puma.

Like that feels like it could easily be a Juve, Barca or Inter kit.

Completely get what you mean. Usually I'm 100% against any alteration to the stripes, like the shite puma done over the years, spikes, blue lines etc just so tacky and small time, but this is class it just has that aura about it

To justify making a new one every year

Likewise, I ordered before they had even announced them as I was on the site when they went up.

Finally got a dispatch email

I think that's splendid. Until FH reports it though I'm going to remain skeptical. Very rare that they get something completely wrong.

If I was in marketing at adidas I'd leak a few different samples early on in the year and gauge opinion. Then press the trigger on the one that gets the best reaction.

If that's the shirt then I'm a fan. I can understand the hate but I've mentioned before that there's only so much you can do with black and white stripes, they have to come up with ways to mix it up a little and the variable gradation of the stripes makes it different to every other Newcastle home kit. It would look even better if the stripes were on the back too but that's a battle we're not winning unfortunately.

At some point they need to mix it up or we just kit every year with virtually any significant differences. Damned if they do, damned if they don't etc

That would be a bit too far, as would half and half like Blackburn, but I just like the fact they've at least put some thought into it and tweaked it

Think they already have, albeit from the same links. Was on there earlier checking.

Oh well there you go then. I'd say that's nailed on in that case.

I'm sure the diagonal fade will line up properly on the real thing.

It's great in my opinion.

Rotten.

Still stand by my comments that it needs another colour and maybe some finishing touches on the collar and/or sleeves, but I’m starting to soften on my rotten comment. It is growing on me.

They are only repeating the same source but it suggests there might be something in it. I think the shirt looks very professional and wouldn't be surprised if it's the actual shirt, or a close to final version.

Personally I quite like it and I've not liked the last few. The fade is well done and if they were going to mess around with it to bring something new then that's as inobtrusive as anything in my opinion. I like the stripe width too - as others have said a striped back would be great although doubtful we'll get it. In fact, they probably could get away with it with this shirt if the back stripes were heavily faded.
