He gained his fame writing articles defending the concentration camps during this conflict, describing them as "causing the minimum of suffering" whilst there was outrage at home due to the rate of fatalities there. (Only for the white Boer's though, fuck the black South African's). I mean given we were talking about Imperial Japan and their forced labour camps, can we at least acknowledge where they got the idea? And again, was my assertion that the British used them again in the 50’s in the Kenya incorrect?

I’m yet to see any serious objections to the UK being represented by the Union flag by those outside of the UK, including those nations which were subject to British rule in the days of empire.  Not at all looking to be an apologist for the British Empire - but all things are relative.

 

The club’s media team (or adidas’s, whoever the fuck put that video together) wants shot with shit.  Personally, I’d fire them - but then I think having kit launch videos is the most banal and pointless thing imaginable.

Whataboutery is a really easy out these days it seems, read a little bit about the Mau Mau uprising which again occurred in the 1950’s a decade after we'd been appalled by the treatment of our troops by the Japanese and Germans, I’ll give you a brief highlights tour.

I frankly didn't even notice the Rising Sun flag-thingy and I'm perhaps not as sensitive about it as some Koreans are, but there's really nothing to be gained for the club or Adidas by having it in there so good on them for taking action quickly.

Its always a lottery with the sizes in my experiences but worth the risk for £10-15.Ive had more good than bad
