LucaAltieri
Why is Platini sitting at the Prince's spot? It was Platini in a mask this whole time.

Guest Hog
Do all these shitty little nothing countries get the same vote as the big countries? Yes Absolute disgrace. Why? To be honest it doesn't make a great deal of difference either way, while they're easy to corrupt they don't actually put any decent amount of money or media draw in to make them important to the overall outcome - if things don't get sorted the main, big hitting countries could quite easily boycott FIFA and make it a very poor setup... and it'd be about time too. While the current situation is on a much larger scale it reminds me of when the PDC split off from the BDO in darts and took all the big names with them, you can't mistreat the main players within the game forever without eventual consequences. You can't have a global governing body that only focuses on the elite players. One of the reasons Blatter is so popular is because he treats the smaller and poor nations well. Its like saying the richest guy in America's vote in an election should count for more than an ordinary working class person

That way it's not really dependent on the results, just the size of the FA.
Ameritoon
The idea that those countries have as much say isn't a terrible one, it's just that they don't have as much money as the others so are far more susceptible to being bribed.

God knows how Blatter is getting any votes other than the corrupt fuckers that kept him around for so long... it just shows how deep the corruption is and how many country's representatives are involved. oldtype
One country one vote is the standard for international organizations and I don't understand why that should be different for FIFA. Anyone else from Europe was just as capable as Blatter of catering to and influencing the smaller footballing nations from Asia/Africa if they chose to do so. It's just that Blatter was the first one to ever actually give a shit about us instead of assuming we were just shitty backwater places that deserved the occasional charity appearance at the World Cup and nothing more. Village Idiot
Weighting vote by population or number of FA-licensed players seems fair and would have nothing to do with "eliteness" while filtering out micro-nations or nations that really don't care for the sport. He isn't bribing every smaller nation in the world. He is treating them well and they in turn want him to continue. Blatter was a massive advocate of the South African world cup and the use of vuvuzelas when others wanted FIFA to ban them, basically getting all of Africa behind him
Ameritoon
Nah, he's bribing a lot of them. As well as treating them well publicly. There's a distinct problem with the system and it's never going to work they way it currently is.
