Brasil aren't a good team and we've been shit.

They’re decent and they really cared . At least you won’t have any expectations for England in the Euros though. I’m looking forward to it.

Well done Gordie for being England’s only threat tonight. He’s cemented his place for me. Belli and Foden thinking the name of the game is to just win free kicks in innocuous areas. Mainoo hyped to the moon when he came on only for us to concede about 2 mins later. My god we need Shaw for the Euros. Lewis Dunk against Vini and the rest lol. Maddison should have come on instead of Rashford. Flowers to Bruno.

I wasn’t paying too much attention towards the end but was Foden still on the pitch? Can’t see Maddison coming on if that’s the case. Rashford offers something different in theory.

 New manager, new players and tons of injuries and did extremely well. Four debutants including the manager tonight. On paper when healthy we’re fucking good.

It's going to be amusing if juicy Dave and Ashworth want to get the full band back together Granted I want it to be true more than I believe it is.

Rashford shouldn’t be anywhere this side at the moment.

Which means he’ll start at the Euros

It’s so transparently obvious that Gordon should be playing there though. I think Southgate will see Rashford as a sub to run at tired players.

I’m more concerned about how peripheral Watkins was, yet again. There was that little patch at the end of the first half where he was involved in some nice interplay but other than that, nothing.

Gordon must be in with a chance of making the squad like. Who's his competition for that LW spot?

Rashford: Poor form and attitude

Grealish: Doesn't start for City (7 PL starts this season)

Maddison: Plays AMC for Spurs, doesn't he?

Feel like I'm missing somebody obvious...

I think it's Foden with Saka playing on the right

It’s notable that Brazil put out what I think is their strongest side that’s actually fit.  And they played a lot of the game. There’s always this attitude in England that friendly games don’t matter. But England doesn’t win trophies. We don’t routinely beat top sides. Should take the opportunity to get a nice win.

This England team has so much talent that Gareth is on to a loss.  He’s also not very good.

We had lots of the ball but Brazil has the better chances and looked the more incisive.

I like Gallagher but he doesn’t offer much offensively or defensively.

Ah, of course. Suppose Foden can play a few positions so maybe a spot for another specialised LW

Gordon’s a shoo-in for the squad. He should be in the XI tbh. Gordon, Saka and Kane, with Bellingham pushing on is genuinely lethal. Then you just have to find someone who can run all day to pair with Rice.

Let’s pretend we have a defence.

You can't not play Foden with the season he's having

if it wasn’t a friendly Paqueta is sent off and you’d have struggled.

I like Watkins but I think Toney might get the nod as the number 2 striker. Better at holding up the ball and bringing people into play than Watkins plus the dead ball ability.

[emoji38] because I thought Brasil were average (1-3-1 in last 5) and should’ve been down to ten. Neither team were impressive and a long way off a team like France.

Toney also had an incredible penalty record.
