ilikenewcastle
I get wound up by manager's (I'm looking at you pards) constantly moaning about the Europa League, but it's ridiculous that teams playing tonight have to play 14 games just to make the knockout stage. Bring back the UEFA Cup!
Kaizero
Watching Rosenborg play a Faroe side, two sides of the stadium is just grass with sheep grazing on it.
ilikenewcastle
Watching Rosenborg play a Faroe side, two sides of the stadium is just grass with sheep grazing on it. At least SJP isn't the only stadium full of sheep, am I right fellas?

jdckelly
went along to the Cork City match against KR Reykjavik, decent match too 1-1 draw so not ideal for Cork but not impossible to get a result.
ponsaelius
2 wins from a possible 13 for former Yugoslavian clubs. Dreadful. There'd be nowt stopping a joint pan-Balkan league being as strong as France or Portugal at the very least considering the population and quality of players they produce. Definitely needs to happen soon because smaller leagues in Europe don't stand a chance in the age of the CL and collective TV deals. Same goes for Scandinavia, Former USSR and probably even Holland/Belgium etc. It would make European football far more competitive if they would bandy together into bigger leagues. The Faroese will play away at Lerkendal, so it'll be a fairly average European stadium.

Sounds like a great idea, also sounds like a recipe for war . Edit: in the Balkans I mean. The North Sea stuff was mooted a while back to include Celtic/Rangers. Away Toon
Great crowd at West Ham. I hate to think how few we would have had for the same game at the moment.

I'd much rather have our own league and be competitive there with the odd chance of getting into Europe every now and then rather than play in some made up bullshit league just to make us more competitive in Europe. ponsaelius
Not an awful idea though is it. Without it there's literally zero chance of Ajax or Red Star Belgrade or Malmo doing anything in Europe ever again. Which is absolutely shite. I guess for your lot its different since you've always had separate leagues.

The College Dropout
IN isolation it's not an awful idea. However, it's one step closer to having an official real Champions League with Europe's elite clubs.
