Gallowgate Toon
I feel a tad sorry for him but he's not really helped himself the last 2 games in that he's given up on fighting for certain causes we've needed him to stick at.
sempuki
Looked like he couldn't be arsed yesterday. He needs to cut out the playacting.
nufcjb
Would have been a different story had he put that chance away early in the 2nd half.

Guest Howaythetoon
I might get stick for this but seriously, he is bang average. He shows up our scouting and recruitment policy for what it is. Rather than spend the extra coin on someone proven like Austin we gamble on someone with so-called potential in the hope he turns into something special so we can make a profit. That is our whole philosophy when it comes to recruitment. In another set-up under different circumstances Mitrovic may succeed, but not here. Not the now. We don't even cross the ball man, what hope does he have!
Andy84
He's good. The way he led the line on his own at Man Utd, City, his goal v Norwich. Very unlucky with the header v Stoke, his link up for Perez v Bournemouth. He's a 21 year old kid being asked to lead the line at Newcastle United in the Premier League. Is it really surprising his performances have dipped in line with the total malaise of this team? Our midfield is utterly useless, abject, a total abomination. That's the issue, top and bottom and it effects us offensively and defensively.

ilikenewcastle
I feel sorry for him, a young lad from the Belgian league should not be the man we rely on to score all our goals this soon into his time here.
AyeDubbleYoo
He's being hung out to dry at the moment, no target man would be getting any joy in our team.

Ronaldo
It seems to me he spends far too much time trying to get other players sent off, like. He's fucking shit at it, too.

sempuki
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aleksandar-mitrovic-could-taken-out-10482642 Cisse then. We so need another option in January.
Ronaldo
Perez and Mitrovic in theory make an OK combination but they'll struggle to get 15 goals between them all season and that'll see us down. Disgusting we wouldn't pay £12m for Austin.

Disgusting we wouldn't pay £12m for Austin. Basically. That was always the risk with Mitro. Anything less than a dozen goals, we'll be struggling badly. We needed solid PL players. Needed an Austin/Remy.
The College Dropout
And I like Mitro. Just can't sign a young lad from the Belgium league and ask him to score the goals to keep us up.
madras
And I like Mitro. Just can't sign a young lad from the Belgium league and ask him to score the goals to keep us up. you can, but can't if you're going to give him no supply or support. His age and experience counts for fuck all if he doesn't get supply.
Ronaldo
Why's Perez scored more despite playing far deeper then? How did Cisse manage to get 1 in 2 last season? You're playing with fire expecting players - especially young ones - from other leagues to score goals for you. Even the likes of Shevchenko and Crespo failed in the PL. Totally unique place to get goals and when you've got the opportunity to sign someone proven to get goals for you for a relatively low amount you fucking break your back to sign him. As per usual we prioritised sell-on value, though.

As per usual we prioritised sell-on value, though. Think of his header off the bar at Old trafford, his close header that raised the crowd V Chelsea, think how much we've gave him a chance. Instead we drop Anita to right back when we have the ball so Janmaat can play right wing seemingly in order to allow sissoko to come inside and keep him happy and leave us actually a man short in the middle. Seems like no matter who the manager is he's trying to keep certain players happy.
