I'm glad I'm not an Arsenal fan, mind. Would be furious most of the time.

Please, man. You'd be delighted - rightfully so.

We're like that now with Newcastle man.

 You know what I mean. I'm furious with them most of the time and I'm not a fan. So many missed opportunities. Would be hell. At least we don't even have any opportunities to watch pass by.

It's not the style that's at fault, it's the players. Wenger is as bad as Pardew for having favourites and never, ever dropping them. Ozil and Giroud, yet again, need to be shot for how little they offer.

Ozil was probably the best outfield player on the pitch in the second half IMO

And yet did nothing at all. He's living off his Madrid form. Plays in one of the most attacking teams in the world while never leaving the edge of the box and manages 5 assists a season or something.

I think that was more down to Liverpool crowding him out by defending so deep. Both him and Sanchez were trying to make stuff happen but it's not easy when you have so many defenders blocking the route to goal. Liverpool look solid but they basically did what we did to Man U today.

Who is he supposed to pass it to? What is he supposed to do when Liverpool defend in their own box for the whole second half? He played a few nice passes into the little space they did give and they didn't control them. He kept running even though he was fucked and getting on the ball trying to make something happen. It's not a coincidence that he played better for Real, he had Ronaldo and Di Maria to give the ball to and they played on the counter a lot, under Mourinho anyway

I think Ramsay/Cazora/Coquelin/Ozil is possibly one midfielder too many. Don't see why Walcott/Ox couldn't play with Giroud and Sanchez.

Yes definitely, although I find Oxlade Chamberlain infuriating at times, he offers a bit of speed and movement which they need

I've thought Özil has been decent for two games tbf. Thought he was good against Palace and don't think he was very bad today. They do need to play more direct as Liverpool easily got into position today and could defend easily.

Think Arsenal would've won that pretty comfortably with one of AO-C/Walcott starting in the right forward position (or at least come on far earlier). I know why Wenger likes Ramsey in games such as that, a player with good ability to link play in tight spots but he takes it a player too far. Could've done with someone who could open the game up a little bit both positionally and as an individual. Should've kept Giroud on too.

To be fair, they made enough chances to win it, IMO, just think they'd have made life easier for themselves. Reduces the impact of good playmakers when they compress space in the attacking third so much and lack runners.

Liverpool are a difficult team to work out this season, they look great defensively, but they look to lack a bit of quality up front. Benteke was a real handful, but when he got good chances in front of goal he looked clumsy in the finish. Two rookie cb's for Arsenal kept a clean sheet at the end of the day, I don't know why Brenda was getting orgasmic about that performance. They should have won, but ended up hanging on for dear life.

They don't lack quality up front like, Benteke will well for them plus they have other options up there.  Coutinho just seems to get better and better and Firminio started his first game tonigh.

Arsenal put together a ridiculous run of form last season pretty much from the moment Ozil came back into the side after injury. He returned mid-January in the 5-0 against Villa and they were the best team in the country right up until smashing Villa again at Wembley in May. To suggest he's being wrongly favoured over other players is a grudge-like opinion.

Their problem is that despite having an excellent midfield they have a decent but ultimately fairly limited player in Giroud as comfortably their best striker. They'll finish top 3 this season but be miles off Chelsea and Man City because of this.

That said, no way Giroud should have been subbed today. Bringing on Walcott for him as a straight swap in that situation was a poor move. In a packed defence he can conjure something up with 1 touch play and was threatening to do so.

They've lost Sterling and Suarez over the last couple of seasons, and Sturridge hasn't played much. That's a lot of goals to lose from the team, and for all the wankfest over today's performance, two rookie cb's kept a clean sheet.

Ramsey infuriating because he doesn't stay disciplined in midfield? Sanchez one-dimensional? Not sure what you're keen to see instead.

These are some of the most talented (and certainly not one-dimensional ffs) players in the league. When all together Arsenal play the best football and go on long winning streaks. What costs them is when these players end up on the treatment table (as was the case in the early stages of last season) or they lack the killer, world class touch upfront somebody like Aguero always offers Man City.

He scored 4 and assisted 3 in the league during that period (16 games). Not all that impressive when compared to someone like Colback who got 3 and 2 in the same time with all the associated handicaps.
