Altamullan
The smidgen of demoralisation (for that read abject depression…) from t’other league paled into insignificance given the frantic excitement of Magpie’s League —was like a pair of terriers hanging off the back of a bitch in heat (...touch of poetic licence). And ‘Magpie’s league’ seems apt, until Sunday evening at least, as he took the lead again from BeloEmre. What a great tussle at the top though! Thank goodness Froggy went easy on you chaps, don’t think my heart could have taken a three-way battle for predictive supremacy, ye knaa…being a good guesser like. Special mention to jdckelly, for putting in a cracking week, more than doubling his average score with a whopping 37 points. The highest score of the season: featuring three correct scores and four three-pointers (one of which was doubled-up). The highest scoring game was Liverpool 2 Watford 0, with 12 correct score predictions; 4 of which were nominated. The only other 10-pointer went to Froggy for the Man Utd 1-0 victory at Norwich. Couldn’t really do the Lawro/Guest thing as they didn’t predict all the games. I’ll work out some fair way of adjusting what they did, but at present he has 668 points, so would be 8th in the league. I’ll do some sort of end of season review, before I crawl back under a stone. Assuming that is I make it home on Sunday, i.e. manage to resist the urge to jump in the Tyne/don’t get arrested for chinning a donkey (thinking of a few current squad members, not a Police horse). It’s been emotional folks! Here’s to a good final week.

Altamullan
Tuesday night is irrelevant, Monserrat Caballe has finished her song, we have a winner. He showed remarkable consistency, scoring 20 or more for an impressive 19 of the 38 weeks; has an average weekly score of 19.62 (remaining players average 17.3) and a total score of 726 (plus Man UXB vs B-mouth...), the uncomplicated, supremely competent, and now worthy Champion 2015-16 is .... Magpie
Well I'm on 25 and Belo's on 15. I have 3-1 Man U and Belo has 3-0 bonus so as far as I can see I can't be beat.

Altamullan
All scoring to be confirmed by Magpie. Week 38: A third consecutive equal highest scoring week (an average of 2.3 points per game) rounded off the season with a flourish. Like a virtual Rafa-lution, we might just be getting the hang of this game and just in the nick of… oh…ok, maybe both were a tad too late. Most appropriately, this week, a Chris Smalling own goal in the 94th minute meant that Magpie swooped to take the highest score of the week at the last calling. Our champion continuing his form right to the end. There were a remarkable 30 correct score predictions, three of which were doubled-up. sbnufc for Watford 2 Sunderland 2; GavMcEl for Liverpool 1 Leicester 1; Barnes23 for Arsenal 4 Aston Villa 0. Well played, a lovely way to round off the season. There’ve been some great performances recently, with Disco picking-up 138 points in the last five weeks, Barnes23 137, GavMcEl and Magpie 127 each. BeloEmre picked-up 92 points over the last five weeks, which saw his lead whittled down. However, BeloEmre had an outstanding season with a score of 20 or more on 18 weeks, and the difference between first and second a tiny 0.34 points per week. Great performance from both. Thank you joeyt, POOT, and Leonard54 for your kind words, glad you got something from my numeric rambling. I’ll post a season review anon, if there's anything stats-wise anyone would like to know, ask and I'll see what I can do.
