Altamullan
Phil Brown has actually thrown his hat into the ring to be Sunderland Manager and England Assistant as well as pledging his commitment to Southend. Bumped into him in a motorway services toilet once (nowhere near hard enough...). He's hung like a whippet (allegedly...).
bhoywhonder
TEAM NEWS: Sam Allardyce names his starting XI for #SAFC's first pre-season game Heheheheh, England manager, me. Hehehehe. Any message for your replacement at sunderland mr Allerdyce? Yeah, just beat the mags....those fuckwits will put up with anything if you beat the mags. junkhead
Did Allardyce really fuck off before the end of their game? Pahaha
lovejoy
Moyes is a good appointment. Certainly better than allardyce.
triggs
Moyes is a good appointment. Certainly better than allardyce. Would've said so when he was at Everton but his last two jobs have been terrible. He had a settled thing going at Everton and I'm not sure if he has what it takes to go into a club and succeed immediately especially with the shortened pre season he will have there
afar
Moyes has always needed time, if you remember rightly early days with Everton weren't particuarily great, even we knocked 6 past them. If they have patience though they will be rewarded, assuming there has been no lasting damage from his last two jobs.
afar
The funny thing is they have lost most of July already thanks to the FA, how prepared are the team who were prepared by a less than focused manager ? They also need to change to another person style of play. I think this whole thing shorten their odds a little on going back down.

Disco
What's the chances these end up with Fellaini. They'd love him tbf. He's big, quite dirty, no quality on the ball and tries hard. Only drawback is he's not very Brexit.
TRon
Moyes would be a very good appointment for them and a massive upgrade on Allardyce. Churlish to suggest otherwise. Yep, could be there for a long time tbf. He knows how to grind out results and wearside is the sort of undemanding arena which will suit him. sunderland are lucky that his stock has fallen enough that he'd even consider them. They'll jog along in the lower half of the table without getting relegated for the next few seasons.
triggs
Fellaini would be good for Sunderland
Guest chopey
Still think he will have a job keeping them up this season.
xLiaaamx
Heard all this when "MON" Came in and then even he ended up nearly taking them down. Can't see Moyes lasting long because they'll boot him at the first sign of trouble.
Altamullan
What's the chances these end up with Fellaini. Significantly longer than them ending-up with underage fellatio behind a take away.... [edit] sorry that was harsh on the youth and some of the adults on Weirdside: Significantly longer than many of them ending-up pursuing underage fellatio behind a take away. (Always try to be fair to our geographically disadvantaged cousins).

Fair point. sunderland are just that sort of club, Moyes will find it a lot more depressing than Everton who at least have some sort of identity beyond hating their neighbours. Tubestationatmidnight
Over on ready to groom they think they are similar to Everton as they both massively support there teams and hate "the mags" The same Sunderland with pink empty seats every game and 24,000 last time they went down?! And the same neverton who as soon as they are in the bottom half are lucky to get over 30,000? We've had more European games than the both of them shit clubs put together! And higher league finishes than them both in the premiership.

Tubestationatmidnight
Yes. Certainly in the last 20 years. A lot more top 4 finishes too. NUFC pisses all over Everton in every aspect in the last 20 years
