triggs
Xhaka's much better in a midfield three with less defensive responsibility
ponsaelius
Xhaka's much better in a midfield three with less defensive responsibility When he was coming through as a youth player he played further forward. Think it was 2009 when their U17 won the World Cup. Feels a bit like the Mikel situation that he has become pigeonholed as a deeper player because he's robust and aggressive. Figures 1-0 Football
It’s weird how managers can have such a brilliant season where everything goes right and then the next season it just all falls apart and they fall out with everyone Mourinho (at Chelsea last spell), Ranieri, Conte... I’m sure there have been more but 3 recent examples that came to mind. Obviously expectations and pressure increases with success, but it seems to be internal failings each time that causes the problems.

Aye makes sense as he seems to know what he's doing when he gets forward. He's been all over the park and getting into some great attacking positions

Can't compare those to Conte this season. 3rd in the league averaging over two points per game, league cup semi which they still have a chance in, still in the FA Cup, knockout rounds of CL
ponsaelius
Iwobi should be nowhere near a top half PL side He's talented, but he's ridiculously rough around the edges. Saw somebody on Twitter describe him as the kid on the playground who plays without taking his bag off
triggs
Think Iwobi would look class in a team in the bottom half where the passing didn't have to be so intricate. Has a lot of talent but is very raw
Mole_Toonfan
Xhaka's much better in a midfield three with less defensive responsibility That's not surprising as for Gladbach he was a B2B CM, not a fucking DM Whole thing is massively baffling. Village Idiot
Yep. Madrid have to score 2. EDIT: sorry, they just need one. For some reason I had it in my mind they drew 0-0 in the first leg. It was a 0-1 away win for Real.
