I know first 2-3 seasons he was hit and miss in the transfer market but even with the TV budget, trying to convince good players there will be hard. They’ll always be inconsistent and will still have one of the lower budgets. To have kept them up for what’s looking like 4 seasons and looking better each season is superb. I hope they go for Eddie Howe watching such a naive manager in the Champions League would be very very very amusing. Almost as amusing as him losing his last 9 away games in a row conceding a whopping 24 goals and scoring just 3 goals Funny how that stat has been hid by the Southern media to protect their absolute naive little princess. What wrong with Eddie Howe, he's rightly been getting plaudits for what has been an exceptional job. Also, what's "Southern Media" meant to imply? Or is that just more north Vs south bollocks? Wake up pal Eddie Howe has conceded the same as Huddersfield No one is aware of it because the media spend every week only belittling the managers that can actually organise a side. Modern fans seem to think Howe is a football god and Benitez style is out of date had to listen to the cheek of a Fulham fan say it the other day. In Eddie Howe’s case you have to be one hell of a naive manager defensively when a team managed by Jokanovic for a big chunk of the season is the only man to concede more than you. Funny how all these media darlings that the public sheep then fantasize over(Wagner, Jokankovic and Howe) all have the worst defensive records. The public are now absolutely obsessed with it being the “Right way” to play even with relegation sides. Even Fulham fans are singing for Jokanovic to come back and save them have they not learnt anything? I mean dear god they would have conceded 100 goals by now with that “Plays the right way” absolute naive media darling that Jamie Redknapp was obsessing over still in charge. Fulham fans should be absolutely sick of watching the opposition score 3/4/5 every week just for the likes of Paul Merson and Jamie Redknapp and Skysports to get some sexual satisfaction! Completely ignoring the fact that the guy took over at Bournemouth when they where bottom of League 2 with a 17 point deficit, survived that initial season, then guided them up to the Premier League within 6 seasons, and has subsequently had them finishing 16th, 9th and 12 and currently sitting in 11th, all the while playing an enjoyable brand of football? They also tend to score more than almost every side outside the top six. They're an attacking team, rather than most teams in lower/mid-table, including us, that play safety first. That strategy has seen them comfortably safe in all of their 4 seasons - and they don't suffer from the usual malaise that affects promoted teams like Stoke and West Brom after a few years, where they end up completely stinking up the league for years on end, boring everybody, including their own fans. Bournemouth is probably the best value season ticket in the league for the entertainment you get. You have to be completely off your rocker to consider this a negative. He has bought 11 players costing over £10million each and bought 2 players this season that cost a combined £50million the media and people like you seem to think he is working with league 2 players in the Premier League doing miracles in the Premier League wake up. He did miracles in the lower leagues but he isn’t doing miracles in the Premier League(With the amount he has spent) like the media have everyone believe. You’d think his defence cost an average spend of £3million each player like ours (Dubravka, Schar, Lejuene, Lascelles, Yedlin) not 2 defenders that Howe spent over £20million on each (Ake, Rico) and his side still can’t defend! He’s got them competing with clubs like Everton, West Ham & Leicester when a club like Bournemouth would ordinarily be anywhere from a lower Championship to League Two club without him.
