Urgh. Just why. Those Man Utd players are where they are because of the hunger and desire they've shown since they were young kids to be great footballers. Steven Tayloresque sound bites, there.

Kieron Dyer before the 6-2 up here in April 2003 was my thoughts on reading!

Alternate XI but i think Rafa might use a similar system.

                              Dubravka

        Lascelles.          Lejuene.        Clark

Yedlin.            Diame.        Merino.          Kenedy

            Murphy.                          Atsu

                                Slimani

And thus, Jamaal Lascelles turn from hero to absolute zero on NO, was sealed.

Not really.

It's just stupid and unnecessary. 'Ugly and nasty' ffs.

If there was any chance of Man Utd maybe not being at 100% with bigger games to come, that little snippet is all the motivation they need.

I like that, as someone said, perhaps with Dummett for Clark. Also, on form, possibly Perez for Atsu.

Yeah thinking about it Dummett is more likely to play as it gives us more flexibility to switch to 4-4-2 if we need to.  Definitely think i’d prefer Atsu to Perez though, his pace along with the likes of Murphy, Kenedy and Yedlin could be good for us i reckon.

Merino and Diame are most important in that formation for me. We have a serious problem keeping the ball long enough further up the field. I like this formation but it means they have to be on top form both defensively and in keeping the ball to pick out the right pass.

FFS. How many times do statements like this come back to bite players on the arse? Just do your talking on the pitch, don't give the opposition fuel for their fire/additional motivation.

Don't think the opposition will give a damn about that statement. I am very pleased Lascelles isn't going to roll over for them.

It's probably not a wise thing to say before a match like.

Still, it's always better to read honest answers than the usual media-trained pointlessness.

Think it's just that, out of the top sides, I feel we are best suited to cope with Man Utd's style of play.  I can easily see us being torn apart by a Liverpool, Spurs, Man City style team, in a way that I can't see Man Utd doing (while being fully aware that they handed us one of our heaviest defeats this season already).  Even in the reverse fixture, I actually thought we played ok and gave them a few problems.

And I also watched a Slimani goals compilation.  That was enough for wild optimism.

I'm always optimistic about us but I was just looking at their expected team and the front six was Matic, Pogba, Martial, Lingard, Sanchez, Lukaku! Quite a few quid spent there! 6-0 Slimani double hat-trick!
