Had a quite surreal 15 minutes reading that true-faith article on their finances, then the RTG thread where they all laughed it off and their financial guru pitched in saying their finances are better than most other clubs and he's not at all worried, only to then continue to read the thread where they are all claiming their refunds and complaining how much the online season pass cost. They still don't seem to understand that the primary reason they are a League One club is that their income is far below their cost level and that is in no small part down to them not pulling their weight. They will continue to sink further until they find another Ellis Short willing to plough in millions upon millions to fund their overspending. Sadly for them their new owner has already said he plans to run them roughly within their own means, and in either case his hands are tight by FFP, so it will be interesting to see it all fall apart again when debts start mounting and the fans turn on him for not bluntly investing his way out of it. They're on a downward spiral with seemingly no way out.

21,000 season tickets sold is very impressive mind.

Do we reckon season ticket sales will be up across the board given how much people will just be wanting to return to football?

It is.  I wouldn't have thought that with Bruce in charge our ST numbers would be too far off that.

'Don't take this the wrong way but go and play on the motorway' towards a Lincoln fan iirc.

Aye, to be fair I would be a grumpy sod if we were stuck in the third tier and off for a league game at Morecambe next season [emoji38]

Anyone who criticised "The Don" or "Charlie" used to get similar from him too.

Aye, his loyalty was bought for a single pint of Stella in the bar next to the ground.

To put that into perspective a big proportion of those are who have just let their 20/21 tickets roll over into next season.

21k tickets in League One would be impressive for anyone, us included. The fact it’s their fourth consecutive season there is more impressive.

That said, their blind faith has been one of their biggest issues. Although they’re going into a new season with a new regime so they’re right to give it every chance.

So money already used by the club. Unlucky.

Remember when they were all clambering over one another to change the seats for free?

”We’ve got loads of money though marra”

I actually have a degree of understanding there tbh, can see the appeal to get into the club and feel like they were involved in something tangible.  Clubs obviously keep fans at quite an arms length generally.

Shame it was obvious to absolutely everyone they were absolute chancers but I don't blame them for going along with that particular event myself.
