Star of the show was undoubtedly England striker Peter Crouch — who was dressed to kill as a parrot. Hot on his heels was Steven Gerrard and the Reds skipper looked a picture as a 70s punk rocker. Kop fans compare defender Jamie Carragher to a superhero, so it was no surprise he was dressed as Spider-Man. And winger Harry Kewell turned up as a true Aussie, complete with full cricket kit, ready to take on England in the Ashes. Sami Hyypia cut through the crowds as a Zorro lookalike and Luis Garcia pulled off a very credible impersonation of Starsky and Hutch's snitch Huggy Bear. But who was the mystery man who dared to dress up as Saddam Hussein?
