BottledDog
Has anyone found themselves going to Sports Direct less and less now that it isn't directly helping the owners as well clothing the kids? Not sure the Saudi's have any outlets where someone like you could feel something similar. That as well as enjoying the superb retail experience, you are also doing your bit for the club and your fellow followers of the football.

A lot of our fans didn’t go to his stores because SD was sucking money out of the club, not the other way around. Right now I still hate Ashley for what he did to our club, but I’m not as inclined to omit his stores as I used too, although it’s worth noting that for the majority of what he sells, it’s a case of you get what you pay for. Joey
Didn't touch it then, won't touch it now. It's usually either old tat or you can get it cheaper online elsewhere anyway.
NG32
I only go to his shop as a last resort, its a most unpleasant experience looking for items.
Menace
I've always thought SD clobber is aimed at those who shop at Poundzone
Big River
you'd have to be a right dopey twat to still shop at SD, like.

You can choose to believe that most Newcastle fans stayed clear of his shop all you like, or you could wake up to the fact a lot of those who even said they did, never did. It’s just like the people who said they boycotted, but didn’t. Or those who called for a boycott, or called for a late walk in against West Ham, and didn’t bother. Anyway, no boycotts of his tat would have worked. It was great to buy the kids stuff for school outward bound stuff.

Totally unrelated but reminded me of the Eisenegger shop in the Metro Centre. People of a certain age will remember their perpetual closing down sale and 90% off discount on shirts that were definitely never on sale for the tag price. I doubt the majority were aware that there was one, and if they were weren’t going to pay more to get their kids PE clobber in order to get warm fuzzies and internet kudos. For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t shop in his stores and refused to return to SJP - but I can’t condemn people in the poorest region of Grear Britain for wanting to buy sports gear as cheaply as they can. It feels like the middle-classes having a pop for the working-classes for not ensuring everything they buy is organic, whilst being blissfully unaware of what really having to budget looks like.
