Am I missing something with the planes?

the chances of a player coming up here without it being announced prior are pretty much 0. Romano, ornstein and the likes have totally killed the transfer surprises of the past (which were few and far between thanks to ssn anyway).

why are we still watching planes and speculating who is on them?

Put yourself in the shoes of the plane watchers

Is it better for middle aged men to watch planes on Flightradar all day, or to sit in their bedroom at their mams house wanking over the lingerie section of the Freemans catalogue all day

That was a rhetorical question

Second album was decent. All down hill after that. One of the biggest drop-offs I've seen in a band.

Only heard bits and pieces by them…..wasn’t impressed at all, mind having enjoyed music in the 60’s and 70’s and some great festivals I was spoiled somewhat.

First album was a punky southern rock banger with massive 70's influences. It sounded like cocaine and whisky and humid redneck drinking dens and loose women

Although I can see why some people might not like the singers screechier moments

Then they get a taste for the dolla dolla bills y'all and start churning out MoR stadium rock for people who wear Sketchers

Fucking sell outs man

Exactly. First album was all southern boogie grooves like the Allman brothers, doobie brothers earlier stuff, Skynnrd to an extent. Made some lucre and got some attention and morphed into a hideous reverb soaked stadium rock cliched outfit. Blues rock version of Kelis starting as a sly stone / funkadelic punk and influenced performer to a money making machine for the label.

I was at the IOW festival in 69 and 70…………line up both years was superb, some of the most iconic bands around played it.

You lucky fucker. I was born 20 years too late.  Never got to see led zeppelin or Zappa. Finally saw Tull properly at Moseley folk festival in Birmingham in 2022 after falling asleep as a result of night shift the night before and too much in 1992. I’d have loved to have seen the old Mississippi blues men when they came over in the 60’s too. John Hurt, Skip James etc. I opened for a geezer on two tours who had opened for muddy waters a couple of times. Had some great stories.
I was on the same bill as Martin Simpson and Richard Thompson at a festival last month. Granted you needed a magnifying glass to see my name at the bottom of the bill but nevertheless.

Their shoes would be too sensible and uncool for a hepcat like me.

Don’t wish your life away, wished I was 20 years younger at times….me I’m rapidly heading towards 75 but still fit and well. Seen so many bands over the years, including Zep, Zappa, Stones, I even saw Hendrix at the old Cellar club in South Shields in 1967….i was only 16. A month or two later my favourite band Pink Floyd released Arnold Layne as a single and I’ve been fortunate enough to have seen them a good few times………….where have all the years gone🤪
