For the half season before we ditched Best and decided we didn't need him anymore, I liked Ba and Best. He did all the nasty bits of the game without harming the team too much in other areas like I always felt Ameobi did.

That back four with Neville and Evra was top class.

 

Terry/Carvalho was another from the modern era.

 

Dickie sly foul is amongst the most underrated footballers of my generation.

But for me, there is only one particular partnership that fate itself couldn’t have picked a more perfect and fitting match up between and that’s Kevin Keegan and Newcastle United, never a more perfect fit in football between one another.
