Started alright for 5 - 10 mins but then faded badly. Not surprising really as it's only his 2nd start this season they said  and he's only been getting the odd 15 mins off the bench mostly.

But it's been clear ever since last season that the body is done and there isn't a champions league chasing premier quality player left in there.

Praying that we can get Isak available for next week. If we can't then I don't think Wilson starting is the best alternative.

He gets away with murder on here, frankly - though less so today admittedly. When was the last time our number 9 went an entire season without scoring a league goal? Has it ever happened? Either way it’s an absolute running pisstake.

He’s been shite for years, with the odd goal [emoji38]

If he was making himself a nuisance for the CBs but shit with everything else, you can just about justify starting him for Everton game. But his body is so broken, he seemingly doesn’t even do that any more, instead some half-arse backing in where he flops over.

Osula is clearly a winger only in Howes view right now, so if Isak wasn’t fit, it would have to be Gordon up top. Still not great, but vastly better.

Just confirms how a 2nd striker is key, or a RW who can play up front and is fit and reliable themselves.

There can be only one: Bryan!

I don’t think Mbuemo is a good solution to the striker issue, although a nice options to have. Can’t expect him to start every game at RW then also switch to CF when Isak needs a rest. Bloke will be burned out in weeks.

Got one of them already, Osula plays rw and cf when Howe "trusts him".

Provided Osula steps up then simply swapping Wilson for Mbuemo or similar player massively increases flexibility but it still leaves us very reliant on Isak but we always will be... As has been discussed \ argued several times it's tough virtually impossible to to sign someone when you have such a clear first choice for the role.

We would effectively have 6 options for 3 spots provided Osula and Murphy are considered suitable back up

That's where Murphy would come in though when Mbuemo needs a game or two off?

Yeah of course, the more options the better. I just don't think expecting someone to be first-choice in one position and second choice in another is the ideal solution.

Ive mentioned it elsewhere but Wilson is only 4 months older than Salah. Wilson has been crippled with injuries but its.like playing with 10 men..He offers nothing ..Carabao Cup final he couldnt even run the ball into the corner properly

Would love him to get a goodbye goal v Everton... hope it's off the bench to cap off a comfortable win though, not something we're relying on 😬

Well Michael Keane will be playing so he has a chance

We need David. Isak and David is a lethal CL level strike force and great cover for one another

Would be an attacking force of biblical proportions along with Jacob Murphy.
