Today put Brighton and Huddersfield behind us alongside Stoke, West Brom and Swansea on 538 seasonal prediction table.

It's weird. It feels like both Brighton and Huddersfield have had much better campaigns than us so far, but they are right there alongside us.

Win that today and things are looking way more comfortable in 11th. The benefits would have been immeasurable, confidence and everything.

The approach to the last 25mins today was a fucking joke, it was like we were playing to stay involved in the scrap. Not impressed at all.

We've got absolutely no idea how to force the issue and take the game by the scruff of the neck like. Soon as Joselu had finished celebrating it was like watching the end of the Everton home game again - complete downing of tools.

Pile on then, might as well. If you only see us getting another nine points from here we're totally f***ed.

How many points do you realistically see us getting then? Do you think we will stay up? Bearing in mind we couldn’t beat the worst team in the division at home?

It’s actually our home form that worries me because I can see us grinding out points away which when winning against the likes of Swansea at home should be enough, but we aren't winning those games.

The next 18 days will define the season, we knew that going into the month. We have to do something. I only saw the first 30 mins today, I have the rest on my PVR but going to hit the delete button. In that half of an hour it was a familiar story, we just don't seem capable of taking our chances when we are on top. That's a very fixable problem to have with a little investment. It was a funny day in terms of fixtures with a lot of teams at the bottom playing each other, we still have a gap between the bottom three and us but it's clear now the more established PL sides like West Ham and Palace who have struggled early on are starting to get to where they expected to be in the table. Hodgson has actually done a fantastic job there tbh, considering the start the club made, and I honestly thought Moyes was finished but proving he's still got something. The three promoted teams should be very worried right now, signs are not good for any of us.

Crowd have a lot to do with the atmosphere at home in terms of making SJP a difficult place to come again. There’s fuck all atmosphere in most home games these days and the opposition have an easier ride. Regardless of whether we get players in this month or not, the takeover could see the tide turn and a little more positivity return. The removal of that fat, odious, lying cunt is absolutely essential to us staying in this league.

People need to stop saying we need 40 points. Almost certainly not going to be true and rarely is the threshold.

Last year Watford got 40 pts and finished 17th, the previous year Sunderland were 17th on 39 and the year before the 17th team finished with 38. 40 points is a pretty good indicator actually. What happens towards the end of the season, the bottom clubs results all tend to pick up a little as those higher up in the table focus on other competitions or just don't care as much.

Check the past 10 seasons points down the bottom. You definitely need to be aiming for it.
